What is your favorite dessert?? We all were sitting down to a bowl of tart lemon ice cream and my oldest was like wow..no thank you! can I just have a banana. I was like..""are you ok with the bananananana being your treat?' he looks at me and says'mom it is just like a Popsicle just not frozen!'' His logic made me giggle and I wont argue a piece of fruit as dessert.

So JJF want to you love to indulge in after a meal... be it breakfast, lunch or dinner...I will steal i nibble outta the ice cream container between breakfast and lunch. My favorite right now is Tillimook mudslide..oh my gosh it is heaven and guilty pleasure in a bowl! no need for a cherry on top:) sorry:) i didnt think about the not in house repercussions!! I hope you get some soon:) that does soound yummy!!

What can I do next?

I love chocolate ice cream--the more intense chocolate the better. I love cookies too--oatmeal chocolate chip are really good. Great, now I'm hungry too. Maybe I can convince my tummy a banana would be good...(they are supposed to help you sleep).

Well right now at this time of year I love cadburry creme eggs. They have to be frozen though. Or a handful of cold BLACK jelly beans.
I am usually good with any dessert...fruit, puddings, jello, brownies, cookies, ice cream...etc. But the thing I LOVE and I try not to buy...is cool whip whipped cream. And it has to be cool whip from the tub (not redi whip). I can sit down and eat the whole tub with a spoon....which is why I avoid buying it (I sort of just feel like a freak eating cool whip from the tub, lol).
=)

I love to make a box of jello chocolate pudding, the kind you cook on the stove. After I pour the hot, smooth pudding into little bowls I pour a tad of cold half and half or milk if I dont have any half and half, on top so I can start eating the hot mixture. It's awesome. I also pour some half and half into the hot pan after it's been poured out and scrape the bottom and sides out of it. I usually end up with a stomach ache afterwards, but for some reason it's always worth it :)

The latest favorite dessert in our house are cream puffs. I found an easy recipe for them in my old Betty Crocker cookbook. It makes a dozen big custard filled puffs and the 3 of us eat them all up within 24 hours.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Jello no bake cheesecake. Plain. No cherries, no strawberries, JUST the cheesecake. I like regular cheesecake, but the Jello no bake is my absolute favorite. I like the texure better, and it has a smoother/creamier taste than 'real' cheesecake. Mmmmm... Now I really want some, and there isn't any in the house. Thanks a lot!!! :P lol.

I love dessert! If I could, I would make dessert every night! Most nights we have fruit, but we do indulge on occasion. It's easier for me when my boys are in training for cross country or track, because they eat really healthy and I feel guilty making desserts they can't eat, lol! I love something baked and warm from the oven best - spiced apples, brownines, my all time favorite chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls. In the summer I love stawberry shortcake, cheesecake or peach melba. This is making me hungry! Sometimes I keep a sugary cereal on hand for when I want something sweet but don't make dessert. I will have a bowl of lucky charms or frosted flakes. My favorite dessert out no longer exists and I still miss it. I complained heavily at Applebees when they got rid of their apple chimicheesecake. It was so good in so many ways! I really need to find out how to make that at home.

My all-time favorite desert is tiramisu but sadly I do not make it so only get it on rare occasions. I enjoy cheesecake and will make that a few times a year but generally speaking I'm always making cookies or fudge. I currently have a double peanut butter batch in the kitchen that I made last night. I also have a freezer full of ice cream. I have a gigantic sweet tooth.

anything chocolate! One of my favorite things to make are brownies topped w/ either raspberry or strawberry jam and then topped with dark chocolate ganache. It's very easy to make, but tastes decadent!

My kids also think fruit is a dessert! I also make homemade yogurt topped with fruit sauce and they like it better than ice cream. I always get a sense of satisfaction when they ask for fruit as a dessert....at least I'm doing something right! ;-)

1. chocolate molten lava cakes (individual size) serve with french vanilla ice cream
2. banana pudding ( using cooked pudding lrg box of french vanilla pudding, small box of banana pudding and nilla wafers. all love it. serve with real whip cream.)
3. apple crisp (serve with caramel and homemade ice cream)
4. oatmeal pear crunch
5. lemon tarts with real whipped cream
6. any kind of homemade cake with homemade ice cream
7. Swedish tea cookies
8. individual phillo dough treats, put walnuts or pecans on the bottom, fill with nutella, bake a few minutes to melt the nutella serve with whip cream and powder sugar.

This is why all my teenage daughter's friends love to come to our home. They know i always have something homemade from desserts, dinner to pizzas. No home should ever be without a dessert : )

I no longer like desserts (lost my sweet tooth finally after many, many years) so I like a few M&M's or one Oreo cookie.
A tiny ramikin (sp?) of ice cream. One scoop. No toppings.

I have a major sweet tooth as well. Treats like fruit snacks, jelly beans or licorice won't do the trick though; it has to be something baked or chocolate. I go through phases based on what is nearby. We used to live near Alvey's and the gas station near our house sold Alvey's chocolate covered cherries (the giant ones rolled in chocolate and chopped nuts) and I would have to run to the gas station every day to get one. We can't find them around here, but Smith's grocery store bakery has Devil Dog cake that is to die for: chocolate cake with a mound of whipped cream on top, covered in chocolate ganache frosting. My husband and I will always split one on the weekend.
