Which Kind of Patio Table

I have 2 questions totally unrelated. 1) anytime I post a question, it never shows on my daily email and I hardly get any responses. I realize not every post gets lots of responses, but is it not posting on anyones emails? Is there a certain time I'm supposed to submit it so it is included in the daily email? 2) I am going to buy a patio table and I don't know which kind is best for kids. I thought glass was not smart because all the outside toys (balls, etc.) and how rough they are it would break (plus big storms could blow it over and break it.) But the only other option I really saw was tile and that's really the same scenario. I know the glass they use is shatterproof, etc. but still I thought my little guys would find a way. Is there a 3rd alternative? What do you think is best for kids? Thanks

What can I do next?

Well, I don't subscribe to the emails so I don't have any thoughts on your first question... but as for the second one have you thought about metal? I would think metal would be a really good option with kids around, not easy to break ya know!

Either cast iron or wood for the table.
And not everyone's posts show up on the daily email alert. My experience has been that it's random on what shows. I'm not sure if there's moderator that chooses what will reach the broadest audience or how that works.

We have a granite top-don't know what your price range is but it was actually very reasonable at Sam's. Great & easy to clean bubbles, paint and all the other spills we have from time to time.

I would recommend a wrought iron, wooden or stone topped table. We have a round, "shatter proof" table that blew over one too many times and shattered all over the patio.

1. I get the daily emails but NEVER look at them. To me they're just a reminder to go online and look at Recent Requests. I check every morning, spend a half hour going through the messages from the last 24 hours, and I'm done.

2. We have wrought iron... have had it for 15 years, and still going strong. The only problem is that those sets come with cushions, and the cushions need to be replaced every few years and are pretty expensive.

Good luck!

Our sets are iron by Lyon Shaw. VERY sturdy. Now the top is glass but that table is not blowing over.

We got ours about 14 yrs ago at Sunnyland in Dallas and it all still looks great.
