So What Happened?

I looked and looked and finally found a Wii Fit. I tried a friends first to make sure I would like it. I had a lot of fun with it. I haven't worked on it enough to know if it will help but I figure something is better than nothing. I thought if I heard other people's stories I would be more motivated to stick with it... I think the money spent is also a good motivator...LOL! Thank you for sharing your stories!

I got it for Christmas & think it is a lot of fun. It doesn't give me a "sweating" work out, I am used to doing the stair climber or treadmill, but it is fun, something different. When I get a full 30 minutes activity on it, I really feel it the next day, esp. the yoga moves & the strength training! I have teen kids who have fun with the games!

We got one for Christmas and I love it. But to be honest I have to be motivated to get on it. There are fun things to do on it and I love the step aerobics, yoga and the balance games. Some days I don't feel like getting up and excercising but then I remember how much better I feel afterwards and I get my bottom off the couch and get started. It's set up in a way to reward you~the more you do the more activities it will open up for you. The one thing I really like is the machine is always happy to see me. I like that a lot. There are some days when you just need to hear a happy voice saying Hi it's great to see you again. You know! Anyway I hope this helps. OH the other thing is I feel like it is keeping me accountable it takes my weight every time I get on there and knowing that I am gonna be on there I think twice about eating something. OH and the best part I have lost 5 pounds since Christmas so that is some good news. Once again I hope that helps ~ J.

I have never tried the Wii Fit, but my mom and sister-in-law (both exercise nuts) received it for Christmas this year. To be very honest, they both think it stinks, and is not worth the money.

We got a Wii Fit for xmas and love it. I have a 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 year old and they even like trying to do some of the things that come just on the DVD with the Wii Fit. It is a good work out and it's FUN!! You don't even need to buy other DVD's to start getting a lot of good exercise out of it. Good Luck!

I can't wait to try it, but as an FYI I've heard that there are a lot of dislocated knee cap injuries and other kinds of injuries with it. Of course, this won't stop me from trying it, but it was good to know! Have fun!

My husband is losing weight using it and dieting. It has a lot of variety with the yoga and strength training excercises. I think he is motivated by knowing he'll be weighed in when he uses it. Our neices and nephew use it and don't realize that they are excercizing because they are having so much fun! I wouldn't say it is good for someone who is already working out a lot, but for the average person it could be very helpful.

Friends of mine are using it and love it (mom, dad, son and daughter). It really gives them a good work-out. The only thing is that they were pretty inactive before and w/in a couple of weeks mom threw her back out and had to rest for a couple of days b4 being able to get back to normal household routine. Depends on what you are using it for, just be sure you know your body and b4 doing any exercising it can never hurt to consult w/your doctor...

We don't have a Wii but a girl I play Bunco with was telling us about her new Wii game she got for Christmas.

She has the one that is like actually having the personal trainer there with you.

She said she loves it but didn't care for the other fitness one that some of the others mentioned on here.

I hope this helps!

Hi M.! Everyone I know who has it... loves it! I have a Wii, but not the Wee Fit. I would like to make the purchase, because everyone says it's so easy to get yourself into it. It calculates your BMI, tracks your progress, all kind of stuff! I think it's like $80 - $100 dollars or so, but from what I understand, it's worth it! It's great for the kids too!

well, i lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks using Wii fit. I went down from 150 to 143 and hope to lose a few more pounds. You also have to eat right, no junk. Control your portions as well as doing the Wii fit. If you push yourself, you will acheive success in being healthier and shedding some pounds. I push myself to doing at least 30 minutes of the Wii fit each day (unless my schedule doesnt allow) Make sure you do a good mix of the games as well as the strength training and yoga. Good luck!!

I've had the Wii Fit now for two weeks and have been working out on it. Its a lot of fun, it is actually a workout. I am actually seeing results as well. Because it is fun, gives me feedback and keeps me on track I am starting to loose weight! For me that is good, so I will keep on "Wii fitting" - lol.

Have fun,

M.

My brother & sister in law just bought it. They already love it. They said it's entertaining exercise & they have a variety of stuff to do on there. They just bought it so they don't really have any results yet but so far they like it...
