I would say
"CONGRATS!!
3 years & counting"
My husband is in AA, and one of his sponsees has been sober for 3 years. Yea! He's buying a cake to take to the meeting, and I wanted some help with the wording. How does this sound?
"Yippee! A's got three!"
Any other suggestions?
Diane, thanks. We did get it right on the cake.
His sponsee has become a very good friend of ours, so we feel fairly safe about our choice. I'll find out after the meeting.
I would say
"CONGRATS!!
3 years & counting"
You could do a take off of the One Day At A Time slogan, as we know that's how he got there and do something like ...
1095 days, all one at a time
Congrats to your friend! My mom just hit 40 years and Dad just hit 42 years.
I would just say
Congratulations (Name)
3 Years!
I would keep it simple. If you try to get too cutesy with it, it may come off wrong.
"Keep up the great work"
"Your dedication shines through"
" You should be very proud of yourself"
Whatever you do, spell it right! "Yippee" has 2 e's. But it may also be a little flippant, although that can depend on the personality of the group. You don't want to offend newcomers.
The number of days is good. So is a reference to strength and the future. Something like "Three years strong" maybe?
Cheers!!! lol Ok, not funny! I like Wild Woman's suggestion. Good luck!
3 years takes the cake!
