Ideas for a Creative First Birthday Party for My Daughter

I really want to create a fun and exciting birthday for my daughter who will be turning 1 in November. It's a ways away but I want to start thinking of creative ideas. I consider myself creative so I'm wondering if any of you moms are the same way too. I just want it to be a fun and interesting day for her. For example I wanted to do a theme and have it be something she loves of course but am sort of stuck and need some help. She loves anything Baby Einstein and loves dogs. Any suggestions?

Baby Einstein Signing.. Good or Bad??

My daughter has been watching baby einstein once or twice a day (mostly at naptime) since she was 4 months old.. she has been signing since she was 1 yr old now 17 mos.. I recentely heard it is bad for your child to do sign?! Please help a lady on the today show said it retards your baby?? if anything my daughter is excelled in language and communication with me! Any other moms out there watching baby einstein videos and have any issues or concerns?

First Birthday Party for Twin Girls!!!

My twin girls are turning 1 very soon!!! I have no ideas for a first birthday party. With my son he had an interest in baby Einstein...but my girls aren't interested in anything enough to make it a theme. Any cute ideas??? I am stuck and can't find anything!!! Thanks!! First Birthday Party Favors?

Hiya mamas, I need some ideas on what to do for party favors for my sons first birthday. There will be variety of kids of varying ages at this party and was hoping to have something fun to give out to the kids and/or adults. I'm doing a sports theme birthday party for my lil guy. Mobiles or Crib-distractions

My six month old son is having a hard time falling asleep on his own. Do any of you use mobiles/lights on the ceiling or anything like that to help your little ones get drowsy and drift off to sleep without fighting it? Particular brands that your babies love? Thank you!
