How Do I Battle a Stubborn Spaghetti Stain!!

Hi moms. My stain treating arsenal is well stocked and I've tried everything to get a sauce stain off a shirt. I tried soaking in oxy clean and hot water overnight, a long soak with resolve, shout, and plain ole laundering. Nothing seems to completely rid the stain. I cannot bleach the shirt. And yes...I use tide. I'm typically successful with my stain removal attempts, but this stain is as stubborn as they come. Any advice?

Baking Without Eggs

Hello Mamas, Long story short, I am on a dairy free, egg free diet so I can breastfeed my daughter who has allergies (BTW, a big thank you to those moms who helped me make that decision when I asked about it 4 months ago!). A helpful friend recommended that I buy Duncan Hines brownie mix (it's dairy free) so I can get my chocolate fix. But I am having a problem finding a good substitute for the eggs. I tried substituting applesauce and the brownies in the middle part of the pan was mushy. Then I tried substituting a combination of...

A Good Disinfectant for Granite

Does anyone know of a good Disinfectant cleaner you can use on Granite countertops? I am a germ freak (I have 2 kids) normally I use bleech on everything, however you cannot use bleech or any product that contains bleech on Granite. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

Sam's Club or Costco? Is It Really Worth It?

So, I'm thinking of paying for a membership for either Sam's Club or Costco? I had a Sam's Club membership a while ago when we were a family of 3 (me, husband and daughter) I stopped paying because we hardly went and didn't find it useful. So, today, we are a family of 5 (me, husband, 13-year-old daughter, 4-year old daughter and almost 1-year old son). For families of 5 do you really think it's worth it? Do you find yourself buying a lot when you're there? Do you save any? Both stores are about equal distance from my house, so I would...

Laundry Detergent Other than Dreft

I used Dreft with my daughter up until a year old. I'm now due with #2 in a month and I'm wondering what everyone has used with an High Efficiency washer since they don't make Dreft in HE formula. Do you just pick one that has no scents? My daughter didn't have any allgery issues.

Earth Friendly Cleaning Products

I am not super "Green", but am trying to do my part. I have decided that as my current cleaning products run out I will be replacing them with more earth (and people) friendly products. My first purchase has turned out to be not so good. I bought Wave dishwasher detergent and was not pleased with the results. A large portion had a haze of detergent that needed to be rinsed off, while others had to be completely washed again. All that extra soap and water really defeats the purpose! I know it is not my dishwasher because I used it...

Help Getting Diaper Cream off Clothes

My daughter got diaper cream all over her pants the other day at day care. I just ran them through the wash and none of it came off. I just tried scrubbing if off and that did not help. I now have them soaking in oxi-clean. These are bored pants and would hate to ruin them. Any suggestions??

Good Laundry Detergent for Kids Dirt??

I have always bought liquid Tide for my family's laundry. It does a great job but is a bit expensive.. But now that I seem to do enough laundry for an army.. and I quit my job to stay home with the 2 kids... I was wondering if anyone had good experiences with another brand of laundry detergent... A cheaper brand that is great at getting out kid dirt.. The kids are little- so right now it is most spilled food taht I need to get out of clothes..
