Atlantis Bahamas - Any Tips, Need to Knows?

We went last summer with our girls (10 and 13) - it as AMAZING! If you re prepared f a money pit - you will be fine! We did the shallow waer dolphin event - LOVED IT! Scuba diving in the lagoon, the rides, lazy river- such fun! Just know that kids need to be over 48" for many of the rides. We did Club Rush for our kids one night and went on a date. We preferred to go to the MarinaVillage (right outside the hotel) for a little more local flavor, and then back to Atlantis for dancing. We stayed 5 nights, which was perfect for us - of course our children are older than yours, so they had a few more things they could do. If you need a ride from the airport, let me know - we had a great, reliable driver. We went at the end of July- beginning of August. It is sooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

We went 10 years ago on a conference from my company and we loved it. We were childless then and we are planning to go next November with our son who will be 5. I would not do the mealplan, personally. We eat breakfast in our room, usually fruit and granola bars. Lunch is easy since there are tons of casual dining places like Johnny Rockets and the Dive In which is right by the pool. For dinner, I would only go to a fancy place (Mesa Grille, Nobu) if I used the babysitting service since they are super expensive. We are excited to send our son to the kid's camp for 1 or 2 days but I can't speak of the quaility yet. I personally think that 4 days, 3 nights is perfect. Try to go midweek and watch the sales because sometimes you can get a room for 99 dollars a night. June is better and August since you are in hurricane season in August and it is very hot. I think there is tons to do without any excursions although my husband has been talking about swimming with dolphins.

Bring lots n lots n lots n lots of cash is my only suggestion!!!
