I have no opinion because I don't know the facts and do not rely on the media as if everything they print is true.
They just said on the news that cadaver dogs found the scent in the bedroom of Lisa Irwin's mom. :(
I feel like I have known all along they did something but I just don't want to believe it.
How do you all feel?
Oh, this was the reason the court granted them the search warrant on Tuesday. I am still hoping she dropped a hamburger or something but I get the feeling the dogs are trained better than that.
I still believe this was an accident
Mom of three.... http://abcnews.go.com/US/missing-baby-lisa-cadaver-dogs-d...

What I do know is that only guilty people hire Jordan van whats-his-names lawyer. Or gloria allred. Or the "if the glove doesn't fit you must aquit" guy from the OJ trial. Once "middle class" people lawyer up with celebrity attorneys you know they're not on the up and up.
I'm all for believing someone is innocent until proven guilty as far as how they are treated and due process and all that.
But COME ON. Her story didn't add up from the git go.
I hope they find the baby too, but it doesn't look good. I feel bad for all of them.
I think she's guilty. I think the dad is clueless. Hope I'm wrong. But that's my current feelings from what weve been SHOWN. Must take media with a grain of salt, they like to sway stuff for ratings. Sad that a missing child becomes part of television rating games isn't it?
I got the same feeling when the mom gave her first "plea for Lisa's return" that I got when I heard Susan Smith give hers....
I dont feel as strongly that the dad was involved since he was accounted for at work, and the mom is the one who keeps changing her story. but with all the news stories that keeps coming out about the mom, i didnt think this was going to end well. that sucks!
That royally sucks....I haven't kept up with it much till I found out she was drunk...she doesn't really know when she saw her child last.....it just started to look so bad......so awful really
The cadaver dog picked up the scent on 10-17...the search warrant was issued two days later, BECAUSE of the cadaver dog. The parents still gave them permission to go and search, they got the search warrant to keep evidence admissable.
I still believe that she loved her baby girl and that she meant no purposeful harm, whether by her hands or someone else. I will wait for more evidence. Again I live in this area and I for one, ONLY want a resolution to where she is at, for my own children's safety.
Yes, I just read some articles too! :( As others said they needed the warrant to keep the parents out and make it admisable (if necessary) in court. Plus, they wanted to be able to remove carpeting if they wanted and take other things if they found it.
I tend to think the mom is involved as well, but all the info is so confusing! I just hope they find out what happened. The worst injustice is of course Lisa's death (if she has died) but a close second would be to never find out what happened to her.
I haven't been following this too much, not after the one here in Florida. But I can tell you from experience that there is a difference between a rotting hamburger and a decomposing human. And since a dogs smell is so much stronger it’s not likely wrong.
I will keep praying that they find this baby alive.
Actually, I read they did need a search warrant. (I will look for the site, they had a link to the actual wordage in the warrant.) They ONLY could search where the family would let them. That meant, entry points and a few other places. They were never allowed to have cadaver dogs come in. They had to obtain a warrant, for extensive searching and cadaver dogs.
ETA: Whoops, worded that wrong! I meant to say they were allowed to have cadaver dogs come in, but they weren't allowed to search the house without the parents there, hence the warrant to keep them out.
And, you know...a lot of evidence isn't allowed in court without a warrant. The evidence that is, can be picked apart by defense lawyers, because it could be speculated it wasn't handled correctly. I think it was about protecting their findings more then anything else.
With that said, there is probably a whole mountain of things the police are tight lipped about. I can't even speculate what will happen, even though my gut says guilty. I feel like the media doesn't present any of this stuff accurately.
They didn't need a search a warrant, they have had free range to do whatever they wanted to the house since day 1. The media and police are scewing the Irwin's actions and words to the public. They claim they are not communicating, but that is a lie.
I am not saying they are guilty... or innocent. All I know is that things are being misrepresented and I don't trust the media.
I wish people would just stop speculating about this. This is not a soap opera. It's tragic and sad and my heart breaks every time I think about it. I can only hope that police and investigators will get to the bottom of it, and that someone is brought to justice.
I haven't followed this story all that closely. Just the original report and a follow up or two, until today's story. Then I read that story in it's entirety. (I don't live too far --a few hours-- from the whole Misty Croslin mess in Palatka Florida, and that went on for ages and they still haven't found her. The absurdities that came out in that story, that was covered every day on the local news made me very cynical about these kinds of stories).
It sounds like, a very plausible scenario is that she was drunk. (She has now admitted as much according to today's article). So she was drunk, she dropped the child and her neck broke, OR, she put the child in the crib when she was still awake BECAUSE she was so drunk (to keep her safe) and she went and passed out. The child may have tried to climb out of the crib and fallen and broken her neck, or sustained some other injury, that untreated for HOURS while the mom was passed out, was fatal. Mom comes to, finds here and stages the cover-up. Or, Dad comes home, finds her and stages a cover-up. Maybe Mom doesn't even know, if Dad is covering it up.
But there was just no logic to how any outsider could have perpetrated this from the get go. There were no fibers found around the window, right? Except for those of the inhabitants of course.
It's all very sad. Why a mom felt it was okay to get blasted drunk when she was home alone with her young child baffles me. And it evidently wasn't even after the child was asleep at bedtime.
It just doesn't add up to an outsider.
I feel very sad. I pray to God they dont end up finding this baby dead. It really sucks that we all have to assume this childs mother did this to her. Really sad. Im afraid to find out whats going to happen. My baby is so precious, I couldnt even imagine.
Heres a timeline if anyone is interested.

I read it too. Just have to wait and let them finish their investigation.
We've all known from the start. The police followed up on sightings, but the focus of the investigation has been on the parents from the start. There were other people drinking in the home though. I have a feeling in the end we will find out that someone besides mom out there knows.
I am lost can somebody please fill me in on what this is about?
I felt the story the mother gave was suspicious.
I only hope the cadaver dogs are wrong and the mother didn't do
something heinous.
I can only hope and pray. Poor baby!
