Any local activities that you know of that will be happening for the Holidays in DFW? My daughters are 6 and 4, trying not to miss out on anything!

We've done a lot of fun Christmas stuff in town.

In Grapevine, The Polar Express is fun. You see a short Christmas show, ride the train for about 30 min or so. While you ride they play Christmas songs. Santa comes through and gives everyone a small gift and you get a small cup of cocoa when you get off the train.

Grapevine Gaylor has the ice sculpture show. It's fun and really neat, but I still think it is overpriced. And if your kids don't like cold, they won't like the ice show. My kids liked the ice slide quite a bit. And the decorations there are absolutely incredible.

Northpark mall in Dallas always has fun stuff going on. And I have never waited in that long line, but they usually have an excellent Santa set up for pictures. We go and watch the puppet show. Then we walk around and look at the decorations all over the mall and have lunch. The puppet show is free. The trains at North Park is also a lot of fun. It's huge train display that you walk through.

Last year the Texas Speedway had Christmas lights you could drive through. We heard from friends that it was a lot of fun.

Holiday in the Park is happening at Six Flags.

Casa Manana is doing Frosty the Snow Man. My son saw Rudolf there when he was four. He is 8 and still mentions it!

The lights at Interlochen (Arlington) are amazing. We haven't been in years though. It's a long wait in the car before you get to the lights.

My daughter us 18 now ...

The Santa at Northpark is the best. All of her Santa pictures are with him. I don't know about now ( you can call and ask) but he used to come down the chimney for story time around 10am and afterwards start having children in his lap.

Many times, while we waited,we enjoyed the trains if Northpark !

We have many find memories of Northpark at Christmas.

The Gaylord in Grapevine has a great ice enclosure.

Fairview and Watters Creek in Allen are great.

Enjoy and pm if you have specific questions

It would be a drive for you but Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie does an awesome light display. You can drive it. Not sure what the cost it but it is worth it.

It's a little far from Forney, but there's the Christkindl Market in Arlington that starts next weekend. We're going for the first time this year and we're so excited! If you can afford the trip, Six Flags has Holiday in the Park, and there's tons of neighborhoods with lights. I think there's one in Terrell that is a really neat one, and that's closer to you! I agree about Northpark, too.

PS - if anyone mentions Interlochen (a huge light display), I urge against it. We went 5 years ago and it was such gridlock we were one block for almost 2 hours.
