Do You Believe in Mediums?

Yes , I do. I also believe that spirits are with you regardless of who can see, speak, or hear them. True Mediumship is a gift, and not the work of demons. I have many friends who have special abilities, and I do not consider them to be working for demons, or Satan. That's just ridiculous.

I have too had run ins with spirits but I also believe there are some people out there that are really good at reading peoples non verbals and feed on it to get the response they want. Name that starts with A and then watch for a non verbal. I would believe it more if the medium could not see my non verbals.

While I think most of them are con artists and are very intuitive, I won't go as far as to say I don't believe in them. I wouldn't search one out to speak to those that have passed. However, I've seen episodes of Long Island Medium, and whether she is real or not, it appears that she brings people comfort and the ability to move forward and I can't fault her for that.

Ok going to chime in because not only am I a Christian and my father was a Pastor, but I have had many run-ins with Spirits and even grew up around some of it. Sorry if this ends up long. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEMONS AND SPIRITS. Demons have never been a living person who walked the earth, it is a creature straight from Hell. Angels are just the opposite of a demon. They are straight from heaven and have never been a living person. A spirit is someone who was alive has passed away. Not irritated with you just those that don't educate themselves but still give opinions. All 3 of these were talked about in the bible. Even in the bible there were people who had the God given ability to see and talk with Spirits. I've known several true Mediums. There are those out there that are con artists but not all. How the ability is used determines where it comes from. If you use it for evil or casting spells guess what it's probably from the Devil not a Demon. A Demon doesn't give you message from loved ones. They don't have any connection with living other than what evil they want you to do. A Demon is out for Evil. Spirits are all around us and only few will even feel their presence or know they are there. I have the ability but just choose not to use it because I understand what could happen if I don't use it correctly but it doesn't keep spirits from coming into my home or trying to communicate with me and my family. Just like every ability whether sports, artistic etc if you don't practice and exercise it then your not good at it. When you have any form of this ability then you are like a light at the end of the tunnel. A spirit in the area won't really see the other ppl just the person with the ability. I have spirits in my house all the time. Right now I have a little boy, not sure why he's there or how long he'll stay or even what happened to him bc for now he seems to be content playing with my kids toys. Other than a toy moving here and there he doesn't really do much else. To know whether a Medium is real or a con artist watch the reaction of the person she/he is talking to. When your loved one who has passed has the Medium relay a message that only you would understand or the person they are talking to it's obvious. My husband and I went and sat in on a group session one time just to see and the Medium directed his attention to my husband and brought up his friend who was a soldier and recently passed in a motorcycle/car accident. Car never looked and pulled out in front of him and killed him instantly. He even described how he looked and used slang phrases that he and my husband would always say. My husband was going to the funeral the following day. And no we had never met the Medium, we didn't stop and talk to anyone about it. In fact we had just received the call about his passing the day before. Sorry for all of that but to answer your question.... Yes I believe in Mediums. A person doesn't get to choose whether to have the ability just whether to use it and/or how you use it. I'm sure you'll get a lot of ppl who don't understand any of it or have never educated themselves on this but will sure tell you that you are worshiping the devil or whatever else they will say out of their ignorance. Oh and no I don't believe in Fairies and I do believe there are true super heroes they just don't where capes or costumes. They are ordinary people.

The Bible also disapproves of gold jewelry, polyester, shellfish, and tattoos. Just sayin'. (Quotes below.)

No, I don't believe in mediums. Or ghosts, demons, gods, Tinkerbell or the boogeyman. I do believe that there are scams, cons and untreated schizophrenia.

I love stories about spirits, fairies, angels, super-heroes and the preternatural beings that permeate our literature. I enjoy fantasy to a near unnatural level, but I don't believe it's real any more than I think tinkerbell is, even though I clapped my heart out for her and cried when her light was going out.

I enjoy it, but I'm not deluded by it.

I want to believe...I really do...I would love to get a message from family members who have already passed that could give me comfort that there is something after death...I think it would be very comforting...

...but I have never experienced such things.

~My cousin lost her only son a couple years ago, he was only 21y/o and was murdered....my cousin has travelled near and far after John Edwards...he has given her some comfort...

Yes I do and without going into a bunch of detail I saw a medium/physic (only paid $15.00 and she talked to me for 45min.) when I first became preggo with my olderst daughter and without me giving her any info she told me all about my Grandma and a ring she wanted me to have but my uncle took it when she passed. That was true because my Grandma tried to give me the ring before she died but I wouldn't take it because I did not want to think of her dying as I had just lost my dad. The lady described exactly what my Grandma looked like. She told me that I would be having a girl (I was only preggo by about 6 weeks) and that something bad would happen and it would be scary but my baby and I would end up being fine. (I rolled my car when I was 7 mos preggo and ended spending a long time in the hospital due to pre-term labor after the accident, by the way they were able to stop labor each time and I ended up having to be induced). I did not think I would ever see my daughters dad again because he moved to Europe before I found out I was preggo and I had no real way to contact him. She said we would be back together. Well, Just by a fluke I was able to contact him in Europe when I was 6 mos. preggo. We are married and have 2 children now. So, YES I do believe and I would do ANYTHING to have a reading by Teresa the Long Island Medium.

I believe. There is more to come after this crazy life we live. I think some people don't want to believe that some people have more of a link to the afterlife than others. People are scared of what they don't understand.

I wouldn't say that the woman was a demon but I would say that the voice of the dead that she hears could be demons and that a child could also hear the voices of demons as well. That doesn't make the child a demon. I wouldn't mess around with a Medium. I think it is dangerous. She is right that in the bible there were warnings to stay away from such things.

Yes the Bible states that you should not go to a medium for answers, but that is because you should instead seek answers from God. It does NOT state that they are "demons." Spirits and demons are not even related to one another.

To the person who said that Rev. Ruby should have known about her kidney infection, that's ridiculous. There are different types of mediums. Some mediums are clairvoyant, some are empathic, some are intuitive, and some (like me) are clairsentient. Each medium's gift is different and special...and it is a gift from God.

I am a Christian woman. Since being saved, I have not yet figured out how God wants me to use my Gift...but I still have it. I most certainly am not a demon, or a charlitan, nor am I evil. I find it judgemental and insulting that so many would say such things of what they do not understand.

God LOVES us. Nobody understands that better than a medium.

I can't speak for what your coworker believes, but it has been my understanding that the spirits are demons. Perhaps your coworker didn't explain it well or understand it well herself, but my understand is not that the PERSON is a demon, but that they are communicating with demons. Which is really pretty scary.

There are prohibitions about seeking out those who do this, in the Bible. It isn't that they are not real, but that they ARE real. And they lie. Angels and demons do exist. But people are not given to fully understand what they are. And it is dangerous to seek out spirits because you don't know who/what you will get.

Actually it sounds like your coworker does believe, if you do then yeah, they are being spoken to by demons.

Yep, totally believe in spirit and mediums. The things that Long Island Medium knows, I don't know how they can ALL be made up. I missed the one where she interrupts the yoga class.

My LO used to get visits, and we have a spirit in the house, that I think the dog was watching yesterday...

I absolutely agree that there are real people who are psychic, who are mediums, who can do spiritual healing, etc. I also agree that there are people who are fakes, who use what they claim as "spritiual" for financial gain.

You have to look at everyone and what they do and judge for youself--use your intuition--as to whether or not you believe they are real or not.

Unfortunately, those who really are real and really do have abilities are hurt by those who are users and are using the system to make money when they really don't have any abilities themselves.

And please, always believe in spirit. It is very real.

I am not sure what I believe regarding mediums. I am not familiar with the show.

I KNOW there are many fakes out their that pretend to have gift and suck grieving people of their hard earned money in hopes of staying connected to someone they have lost. Is it possible that some may have a gift? Sure. How abundant and accurate they are? I just don't know.

I also know of some who have went to a medium/psychic/palm reader etc that has given them dead on information and they believe whole heartedly. An old school friend lost a child a few years ago and she recently went, made contact with her son and everything the medium said seemed to ring so true. For her it was a relief and who are we to take that from her? But there are those who simply take info you give, spin it back, take a few well placed guesses and gladly take your money.

I don't really believe in anything supernatural - gods, angels, mediums, life after death - any of it. But that's not to say that I KNOW I'm right. I could be wrong! I have just never seen anything that proved to me that there is anything supernatural that exists in the world.

I've seen the Long Island Medium, and I think she is funny. She seems like a nice lady, and I've been surprised watching her show how often she seems to be right. However, from a TV viewer's standpoint, we don't know how "produced" her show is. We don't truly know if she's really never seen these people before, or what. It's entertaining to watch though! If she truly never has met any of those people before, then her ability is amazing, and might change my mind about the possibility of supernatural beings.

I have gone to psychics/mediums. Some are charlatans and some are so right on that you are left astounded. Some of the ones that were right on were christian women who have a gift. Even praying before their reading or session. I don't consider them demons in any way. I haven't seen the Long Island Medium show. Oh I definitely believe in spirits/ghosts etc. I've seen a couple in my lifetime so far. There is more to this life or afterlife than meets the eye.

I don't personally believe in it. I watched that show once and she annoyed the heck out of me with just her personality right out the gate. I found that just what alot of people said about mediums seemed to be true of her. She made statements that anyone in the room I was sitting in could have identified and did identify with so that annoyed me further.

BUT I don't fault people or think negatively of people who do believe in that. It's their opinion and if it brings them peace that is awesome.

well, I don't know if the person you are talking about is a "demon" but yes, I do believe in demons. I do not believe that anyone can tell the future or anything like that though. Only God knows the future. Demons are all around, but I know they can't hurt me or even come near me because I am a believer in God.
