This is b/c Julie asked about Damages..and I don't watch TV very often, but I miss being able to turn on Oprah....do I have to subscribe to the OWN network to watch her stuff now? And Ellen's on earlier, and the Doctors run the same time as Dr. Phil.....or Dr. Oz...here that is..

Basically, how do I watch Oprah now?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

OK, so not a lot of Oprah fans answering this question...however, I wasn't asking if you like Oprah, when I turn on the TV her show isn't there any more...and I'm a bit of technical dinosaur, so do I call my cable provider and ask them? Does it cost more? If so, I wouldn't pay extra. I'm not interested in her magazine. I've read several and they all sound the same, yes complete with her on front.

But I did enjoy her interviews once in a while. I guess I'll call cable then?

I loved watching Oprah for many years but she should have just stayed out of politics. That's when I quit along with lots of other people and her show tanked. I won't be watching her network either.

I have direct tv and oprah's network is available as part of all the packages (I think).

Personally I can't stand her, and haven't watched her show in YEARS. And usually anything she suggests/endorses ... I completely ignore or boycott. Her and martha stewart can take a long walk off a short pier as far as I'm concerned.

I refuse to watch her network too.

Still can't escape Oprah.
She has her own (Hah! OWN network) and there is no lack of Oprah.
Some of the other shows on her network are good and she also plays some good movies.
If you miss Oprah...she has a magazine and is on the cover every single month.

I guess it's good to be her.

It really depends on who your provider is and your locations. I have UVerse and it is on channel 256 (or around there), most of the shows are reruns. A lot of her new shows are not really starting till October (The Rosie Show, Oprah's Lifeclass, Dr. Phil).

I get the OWN network with Uverse. Some of it is reruns from other shows like Dr. Phil.
