Floor Sweeper/Broom/Vac

Hello all--

I am looking for an alternative to my broom for my tile and hardwood floors. The broom is fine, but there has to be a better way!!! I tried the Swiffer Sweeper; while it picks up dust and hair, it just pushes the larger food and pebbles that are inevitable with my toddler. Do you love your hard surface vac or broom? My other vac is so bulky and a pain to bring out all the time. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I know what you mean! I've been on the search for what feels like forever trying different things & have recently purchased the Shark floor cleaner. I LOVE IT!!!! Finally something that does the jobs I need it to! It works so well with the small & big stuff (even mac & cheese noodles, soggy cherrios, & grapes)! I have a super messy eater so I'm using this thing at least twice/day. It also has a switch for carpet which I use on our area rugs & entry rug.
It's cordless & lightweight too!

My husband brought home a Bissell Perfect Sweep from Menards about 10 months ago. It's the best impulse buy he's EVER brought home. It works perfect for my kitchen, hardwoods, and thin rug under my dining room table. I admit it works a bit better on the rug than on the bare floor, but it's great for food (cheerios, noodles, rice). I use it at least twice a day. I like that it keeps its charge for days, so I only have to plug it in on occasion.

Good luck!

Pronto™ 2-in-1 Stick and Hand Vac™

pronto acts as a lightweight stick vacuum to completely clean the hard floors in your home.

Pronto's cyclonic suction technology spins dust away from the filter, leaving you with more power and a cleaner home.

The easy to empty dust cup gives you three different ways to eliminate the dirt without ever getting your hands dirty.

Pronto's good looks and cordless design mean it is always charged and ready to clean your entire home.

I love, love, love my Ergorapido. We have a lot of hardwood floor coverage and tile as well so I needed something more efficient that a broom. The Ergorapido is a cordless vac that also has a built-in dustbuster. It looks great, works fabulously and now that I have it, I couldn't live without it. I literally use it daily and my 4 year old and 19 month old also like to help out and push it around. It is really lightwieght, inexpensive and convenient. It has good suction, a long batterly life (it sits on the charger) and can also be used on carpet. I think you can buy them all over, but I purchsaed mine at Target for about $100. Below is a link so you can check it out.
