White gold. It is gorgeous, imo.

It is a lot harder than gold, because it is an alloy. I know two people who lost the diamonds in their engagement or other rings because the regular gold bent and the diamond got loose and fell out.... Also, my parents couldn't afford gold for their wedding bands, so they got white gold. Because of their long and loving relationship, I got a white gold as a bit of an homage to them.

I love white gold! Yellow gold looks kind of odd with my pale skin tone, in my opinion anyway.

I prefer platinum and silver. If I have to choose between white and yellow gold, I would choose white.

My wedding ring is yellow gold. I prefer the classic look of yellow gold with that piece. My earrings, necklaces, things like that, I prefer white gold.

I like white gold, but my wedding rings are gold. Someday, when I have a bunch of cash laying around (so, like, NEVER), I'm going to have the diamonds reset into white gold (or platinum if I win the lottery).

It took a lot for white gold to grow on me. The old fashioned comment made me laugh, both my grandma's and mom's wedding rings are white gold. I didn't like it at first because it is old fashioned to me. Both have been around for quite some time.

My wedding rings are white gold because my mom is right, the diamonds just look different. It is the only piece of jewelry I have in white gold.

I've always liked yellow gold.
White gold just doesn't seem like real gold.
It's like silver without the tarnish.

My wedding rings are somewhere between. They look white next to yellow and next to white they look golden but not too much.

I picked my rings from some my FIL had cut and set. I love my rings due to that fact alone.

Go find a white wall, not cream or beige but white. Put your arm out like you are going to hitch hike with the elbow towards the wall.

Does your arm look golden or pinkish. Can you see lots of veins that seem to be close to the surface? Is your skin thicker where just the skin shows? Trying to decide if you have a warmer skin tone or a cooler skin tone might be what helps you to decide.

A cooler skin tone looks good in the white or something not so yellow. A warm skin tone looks better in the yellow tones.

If you do find a set you like then don't let the metal in it determine if you get it or not. You may be able to order it in a different tone but it might look just fine the way it is.

White Gold, I am NOT a fan of yellow gold on my skin - it is not appealing. Many women look good in yellow, I just can not seem to pull off the yellow gold look. I do like the dark finished bronzey color mixed with other metals, but that is the closest to yellow gold tones I get, even in make up.

My first wedding set was yellow gold. I wore both yellow and white gold. Now my current wedding set is white gold. I didn't want it to look ANYTHING like my last wedding set. =) So I prefer white now, but have both.

White gold all the way for me. Platinum is even better because it has the same look but does not turn yellow over time. My wedding ring is white gold and I have to have it "dipped" from time to time to keep the color looking nice.
