I love both Bruno Mars AND the Red Hot Chili Peppers! I couldn't help thinking about the woman who wrote the letter yesterday(?) that wasn't going to let her guests see the halftime show. They certainly missed out!

He did great.
So proud of him as are all Hawaii locals. He is a local boy, through and through born and raised here.
Class act.
I remember him when he was just a real young boy like 4 years old... doing Elvis impersonations etc.
And love the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I remember them too, doing a club concert here at a punk club, before they got famous.

I am so thrilled that people now know about Bruno Mars. He really is talented and supposed to be a really good guy.

His family is still really close, his mother died this last year and he took some time off to be with his family.

Last season he was on SNL as a guest host and we thought he was an excellent actor and comedian.

i had no clue who bruno mars is (yes, i'm a geezer) and was grousing that the peps weren't the main attraction. what a delightful surprise! i loved bruno, and thought the collaboration (and anthony K's goofy socks) was a hoot.
i'm so glad i wasn't at the party where the halftime show got turned off!

I agree with TF. I couldn't stop thinking about that woman who invited people over for the Super Bowl, but warned them she was going to turn off her TV. She turned off her TV for nothing! The halftime show was not inappropriate (although I do not understand why the Red Hot Chili Peppers had to be shirtless). I don't love all of Bruno's songs, but I do admit he put on a good show (he has great dance and foot moves).

We enjoyed it and were happy that the RHCP showed up wearing more than socks. Bruno Mars was a lot of fun to watch.

We didn't watch the game. We're not sports fans at all. But we tuned in to watch the Halftime show because we are Bruno Mars fans.
That was a stellar performance by Bruno Mars! What a surprise to have Red Hot Chili Peppers come out as well! I did not know they were going to perform because I didn't follow to closely leading up to the game,
Class act by Bruno Mars! Throw back to the 50s era groups with the matching suits and dance moves.
All shows should be that fantastic!

I thought the show was well rounded and fun for all demographics.
Can you believe that Anthony Kiedis is 51?! Still looking good (although could have done without the moustache).
How about Renee Fleming singing the National Anthem! Now that's how you sing the Star-Spangled Banner. I love her. More opera singers in the mainstream, please.

The Super Bowl for me is merely a celebration of NO MORE FOOTBALL. That said, I tuned in wholeheartedly to watch Bruno Mars and the RHCP because I always enjoy them. Like Laurie A., I am glad that people now have a better idea of who Bruno is. He is very humble and has paid his dues. Oh, and he is a good performer!

I thought that it was a great show! Bruno Mars is really a talented, class act. There was nothing that I thought was inappropriate about the show at all. There was nothing that was clearly done for shock value. I didn't have a problem letting my kids watch it.

Great show! Love Bruno mars, so talented and fun!
The RHCP were probably shirtless because usually they are bottomless when they perform, choosing a strategically placed sock instead of pants! Maybe halftime show-change-the-channel lady knew that was a possibility before the game? Nah!
And the Budweiser commercial welcoming home Lt. Nad was the best. That was filmed here in Winter Park, a suburb of Orlando. Wish all of those coming home after serving their country could get such a welcome!

I was so surprised by that half-time show! I was looking forward to RHCP and thought I'd glance at Bruno Mars with passing interest.

Well, as it turns out Bruno Mars was great (wow!) and RHCP looked strange and out of place. I thought Bruno Mars should have done the whole show.

My only criticism of Bruno Mars is the lyric in that one song of his that is so popular ("Your sex takes me to paradise"). Could have done without that lyric but I can't blame him for performing his most famous song.

Best thing about the Super Bowl? Half time show and the Doritos Time Machine commercial. The game was horrible (even if you liked the outcome it was NOT a good game) and the other commercials were a let down especially during the SB.

Bruno was fabulous ! He has a great voice...And his band was DRESSED-no malfunctions or gross details. They were a pleasure to watch.

The band was dressed like my favorite 50's group!
So classy and kudos to the guys who played the instruments and did the moves at the same time. Such talent !

On the other hand, the RHCP were ummmm, interesting. But, God bless them for their energy after all these yrs. I want to eat what they eat for all that energy. LOL

The opera singer was wonderful !

A+ for the singers this year !

I loved it! I am neutral toward Bruno Mars' music, though I had a lot of respect for him as a musician after reading a couple articles about him. He really has paid his dues as someone said. I love that he took the opportunity to just BRING IT! Great performance. I also though RHCP were looking strong and on point, can't believe how old they are. The combo was interesting, but it looked like they respected each other and enjoyed performing together.

Not a Bruno Mars fan, but it was an enjoyable halftime show. We aren't sports fans here, never watch football except for the Super Bowl. Couldn't care less about the game - for us, it's about the halftime concert, entertaining commercials and of course, good snacks and beverages :)

I seem to be the only one who couldn't stand the halftime show. I just didn't like it at all. However, I think I'm just tired of half time shows in general. I would rather see a high school/college marching band than to see another overpaid aging singer act like they did 30 years ago.

Bruno Mars wasn't bad, I just didn't care for it.

That was the best half-time show in several years. Though I might have skipped a couple (Janet Jackson's fiasco). It's nice to see artists from completely different musical genres/age/ethnicity really be passionate about what they are doing despite their differences =)

My Saints weren't playing, so I couldn't care less about the game. Neither Denver nor Seattle mean squat to me.
I have never understood the fascination with commercials.
Bruno Mars I can take or leave. I wish Red Hot Chili Peppers had gotten more stage time.

Momof3G - as far as I'm concerned, neither Flea nor Keidis should EVER wear shirts!
