HELP I Put a Pull up Through the Wash

I put my daughters entire wardrobe through the wash, and it came out with a billion tiny little gel crystals completely covering everything! I dug around until I found the culprit - a pull-up! She must have taken her pull up and jammie pants off at the same time and threw it in the basket while I wasnt looking. The little pieces of gel are in every crack and cranny of every piece of clothing. It is even gooped together on the inside of every little sock and smeared across her blankie. Has anyone ever done this? Any suggestions of how to get it out??? Thanks.

What can I do next?

Done it a few times! First shake out as much of the gel you can. Wipe out as much as you can out of washer. I used kitchen lysol spray to wipe out the rest. Spot treat any oily spots with shout or spray in wash. Wash in warm water as normal. Look for any oily spots before putting in dryer. Rewash if needed! But I found by this point everything sould look good. Good luck! It happens more times than you think.

I have done this at least 5 times....what a mess! I have found the best way to remedy the problem is to leave all your clothes in the washer and fill the tub back up. Once it is filled, you can skim off the top layer of gelly stuff. Then I take the wet clothes out one at a time (kind of swishing them around in the water) and then put them in laundry basket. Once all the clothes are out, you can again skim out the rest of the gel. Drain the tub, wipe it out, put your clothes back in and rinse/spin. The rest of it will come off in the dryer! It is a mess, but most of us have done it....some more then others!

Heh! I've done the same thing with a disposable diaper and you're right, those crystals get everywhere! I wiped out the washer as best as I could and then ran a load of just water and detergent; that seemed to take care of the mess in the washer.

I've done that before too and not noticed until it got through the dryer!--a lot of it ends up in your lint catcher. So I'd just run everything though the dryer and then shake each piece out just in case. Hope this helps...

I did that not to long ago. I took all the clothes out and shook them off over the trash can. Then I took a plastic grocery bag and scooped all the extra stuff out. When I got as much stuff out as I could I ran the washer on a rinse cycle.

Yikes! I did this while babysitting at my sister's house! What a mess! I just ran everything through the wash again and did a double rinse. Then just threw everything in the dryer. Carol is right.....most of it comes out in the lint trap.
Turn the socks goopy side out before you wash :)
Good luck!

I would just run it through the dryer, I have done this on accident and I think I had to dry the load twice to get it all off but nothing was ruined.

I have done this a couple times too. I took the clothes and shook them out as much as possible. Then I put them in the dryer on the no heat setting. The gel crystals collected in the lint trap. I cleaned out the washing machine during this time. I used paper towels and water and wiped everything out the best I could. After about 10 minutes in the dryer I put the clothes back in the washer and rewashed them. They came out clean. Good luck.
