I had one of my posts deleted. When I asked about it, I was told that it wasn't in line with the forum rules-or something BS like that.
Quote-Mamapedia, the site itself, is set up as a neutral forum for moms to come together and share mutual advice, support, and referrals. Beyond providing the technical support for this forum, our staff members do not have the ability to judge or moderate the messages, reviews or questions that members share amongst themselves.
Also, requests are only removed if the posted question violated the Mamapedia question guidelines. Most of the time the author of the question would also contact us and ask us to remove the question that they posted,-UNQUOTE
And, another QUOTE-Members prefer to see requests from other Moms who need advice. I think it might be best to just use Mamapedia for this.-UNQUOTE But, as you see above, the mods don't have the ability to judge the questions. Just my opinion, but I don't believe it.
I personnally think that unless something is TRULY offensive-racist, lots of swearing, etc.-the mods need to stay out of it. I really don't care how many people get offended. I've been offended reading co-sleeping questions, but that doesn't mean that they should be deleted. I see lots of rude questions and answers, but we are all entitled to our opinion. I don't want to belong to a site that is all sweet & nice & everyone has the same opinion. That's not how life works.
