Help with Middle Name!! - Sheboygan,WI

As a mother of 6 (1,4,7,8,9.15) I suggest a name that means something to you and your child will think that its pretty cool too. Our oldest is named after dad's friend who passed away and has dad's middle name Troy Allen. Our 7 year old has dad's first name for his middle name and his first name is the town Garth Brooks was born in (huge fans), Austin Michael. Our youngest has my grandpas last name for a first name and dad's grandpa's last name for a middle name because niether one had anyone to carry on the family name(one was step parent with no kids of his own and other one's boys had only girls) his name is Russell Collin. Our kids are always running arround telling everyone who they are named after and how cool it is. Wether its a family name, a favorite person, place, song, whatever it gives their name more meaning than just a name from a book of baby names and donkt forget the rub it in to their friends factor...well I'm named after...

Your maiden name as her middle name. My maiden name happens to be Lee, and hopefully yours is somewhat versatile. Let me know what your maiden name is, just curious.

Just don't EVER use the name 'Marie' - it is the most common possible middle name and it means BITTER - how horrible is that?!

Growing up an A. Marie (a VERY common name in my generation, to be sure...) I hated my name and I always wondered why my mother had given me it. It turns out that she had her own reasons so I don't hold it against her anymore, but I am still not fond of my given name.

So, I guess it pays to really know what the meanings behind the names you give to your children are.

On the account of sound, I like the name you picked out and I've always been very fond of Gabrielle. I think they sound and look very well together.

Her first name would mean either "Black" or "Lady" depending upon the source language you would be taking it from. And then, of course "God is my strength" is the meaning of her middle name.

A middle name is a great way to use a family name you may not want as a first name. My oldest has a family name from my hubby's side and my youngest from my side of the family.

the baby name guidebooks I have read suggest using a one syllable middle name if it will be surrounding by multi syllable names to create a better flow, but I think that the right name will come along and you will know.
