I really like my doctor (and a friend referred me to her), Dr. Sassetti at Lake Street Family Physicians. I also like the other doctors in the practice, and my husband sees Dr. Kungl (a male doctor) in the same office. The waits are short, the staff is pleasant, and they have a lab right next door.
Dr. Michele Carlon is my internist. In fact, I have moved from Oak Park to Downers Grove but I still see her because she is the absolute best doctor I have ever been to. She is a great listener, and I never feel rushed with her. She is located at Lake Street and Forest (in the community bank building). ###-###-####. She shares the office with two other great doctors. I really like our family practitioner, Dr. Lucy Fox with the Wholistic Health Practice located on the second floor of the Rush OP Professional Building. She is associated with West Suburban Health Providers as well as Rush Health Associates. We have BCBS HMO, so I am sure the PPO would work just fine. She is very down to earth, which is one of the reasons we enjoy her so much. We all see her - my hubby, my LO and me. If your hubby feels awkward about seeing a doc who is female, there are plenty of male docs in the practice, too. Good luck!
