Silly Friday question for everyone! So you have 2 or more kids in the tub and one of them pees. Do you get everyone out and restart the water? Or do you pretend it did not happen and continue on with bathtime?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I will go ahead and admit now that I am a "I saw nothing" person for pee in the tub. My 1yr old peed the other night while in the tub with my 4 year old, and I looked the other way :0)

Victoria Rae I am still laughing at your poop in the tub story!! Love it!

I have boys and peeing is part of being in the bath :) So, we just add more water and forget about it :)

Out! Even one kid, out she comes, and I hose her off and bath is over. That's why I always made her use the potty first.

I think it was the last time I shared a bath with my sister - she pooped in the tub, I screamed and ran out. Ew (in all fairness she might've been a year old).

Pee, I just keep on going. We rinse off with fresh water, so who cares. Now POOP, on the other hand, it's a mad dash to get everyone out as fast as possible and into another tub or the shower.... lol.

Depends on who is giving the bath and how close my husband is to the bathroom.

If I was doing the bath... I didn't see a thing ;)

If he was doing the bath or overheard what was going on (Even with just one kiddo)... Kid is out of the tub, tub is drained and sprayed with disinfectant, tub is rinsed off and refilled, and kid goes back in to a new bath.

I will never forget the time when we were staying at a hotel and he was giving kiddo a bath and kiddo pooped in the tub for the first (And hopefully the last) time. Oh my god! Lol.

"Tori! Tori! Oh my god! Tori! Help me! Oh my god! He's pooping! Stop it! Stop it! Make him stop! Tori! Oh my god!" was all I heard while I sat on the bed and almost peed my pants laughing so hard!!!

He refused to take a shower until the next day and left a note for the maid asking them to be extra thorough when cleaning the tub.

I saw an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos once that had two kids in a bathtub. One child was proudly drinking bathwater out of a cup. Brought the cup down to fill it up and as she was drinking, the other child says "I peed"....BA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! This IS a fun Friday question! :-)

I don't have two kids...yet...but I am thinking I would just side with Sherri G. on this one and figure that the urine is diluted in the bathwater...

I have to wonder for all those who would stop the bath and disinfect your kids one by one - what about those times where your kids pee in the tub and it goes unnoticed? :-) THAT makes me chuckle :-)

Urine is sterile, and it is highly diluted in the bath water. Continue on with bathtime. I hate wasting water.

Pee is technically sterile. I'm not sure what I'd do with two kids, since I don't bathe my children together...but if my toddler pees in the tub, oh well. :)

If it's noticed the bath continues and the shower is run at the very end. Fib, "You still have soap on your tush, turn around."

My issue's always been how to keep my DD from drinking the tub water!

lol - they pee'd on themselves and i didn't drain the water - why would i be all dramatic b/c it's the brother's pee or the cousin's pee.

He just poo'd his own pants 5 minutes ago - I think he'll survive.

#1, we just continue - #2, Mom freaks out, evacuates the bathtub, rubber gloves, bleach & scaldingly hot water -- bathtub is disinfected, then kids are bathed again.

pfffft.
grow up in a place with little water (we are so blessed in this country!) and you don't even turn a hair.
my whole family bathed in each other's bath water, and doubtless the pee too!
i have to say, as an increasingly fastidious old gal, it would squick me out now for ME. but 2 kids? get on with that bath!

Hi, M.:
This a normal reaction to being in water.
Pee is clean. There is no need to say anything
unless the child says something.
Peeing is okay, not pooping.
Poop has bacteria in it and is the waster products of those that are living.
Good luck.

I wouldn't do anything for pee. For poo, I'd get them out.

Ha!

When I had to utter the statement "Don't pee on your sister" it was then and there I realized my kids were too old to bathe together any longer!

I drained the water, ran the shower and that was the end of it!

Urine is sterile. Even so, I'd empty the tub, rinse them off in the shower, and call it good.

my son had a bad habit at the age of 2....everytime i put him in the tub to bath him he would poop!!! it got to the point i hated giving him a bath and having to scrub the tub out. so peeing is fine for me!!

Oh man. Nope, not an "I saw nothing" person.

One time my little guy pooped when he thought he would pass gas. The crying that ensued raised the roof. I didn't have to fuss, at all. He was so upset.

I would not have allowed peeing either. Bath time would have ended whether they were clean or not.

So I guess my answer is neither of the choices you offered!

I'd finish the bath, but probably pull the detachable showerhead down to rinse them so they didn't stink after.

I just have my kids get out, drain the tub, and they then use the shower to shower off and get washed/rinsed, and that's it.

I wouldn't want to be in pee water, either.
