So today in class I was sexually harrassed. Joy. I have reported him and now will be sitting else where in class till things get fully taken care of. So I need some chocolate. Not only chocolate but a massive chunk of it. So I go to target and there is a GIANT Toblerone bar. I grab it and could only eat one triangle of it! That's how big it is!
Just wondering what is you "you have had a bad day so you need. . . . what?"
You know. . . I've never tried wine. I've always wanted to. I am Mormon, but am not currently actively going to church. I have had alcohol so it wouldn't be a huge shock. . . . Maybe this weekend.
lol sex would be what I want. But I'm a single mom. . . joy :(
lol mom's! Look's like I'm going to liquor store and try me some wine!

A jack and coke, a smirnoff, or a newport short (cigarette). Wow, I have some unhealthy releases HAHA... everything in moderation so it's all good.
I do love to go to the gym and just work my frustration out if I'm pissed off and my parents will watch my lil one which they almost always will.
Sorry you were sexually harassed, some guys need to get punched square in the face

First, sorry about the harrassment, so glad you reported it and don't be afraid to kick anyone's butt if it comes down to it.
As for stress eating... I usually have a bag of mini reeces peanut butter cups or dove dark chocolates hidden in my closet. I probably eat about 2 a day!
Or, this may sound weird, but I love bread. So, a slice of whole wheat bread with a hint of smart balance butter.
One last weird thing... sweeping. Sweeping is so therapeutic for me, i just grab my broom and sweep my house.
I am also Mormon! Message me if you need some strength or to chat. Hold off on the wine! It doesn't matter what you have done in the past, it only matters where you are going... don't lose the faith :)

Smokes. I stopped smoking when I got pregnant with each of my kids and then started again after they were born. I just had my daughter early January and haven't started again. I haven't really craved it that much, but when I am stressed I desperately want a smoke.

Anything baked. If it is a particularly bad situation, I will smoke a cigarette, even though I quit a long while ago. I unfortunately tend to go back to them during stressful times.
Sorry to hear about this jerk who harassed you! Enjoy your Toblerone. A nice long bath with some essential oils might help too!

I don't typically comfort with foods or eat for comfort.
But, I down coffee.
Stronger the better.
Just straight plain coffee.
Love Espresso shots.
For you, you could try Chamomile Tea.
It is very relaxing.

Since I can't have sex (medically right now and because I don't have a man), a cigarette is what helps me. Which is probably why I won't be quitting for awhile.
I'm not a big drinker, but a miller lite or captain and coke helps a little too, with a cigarette of course lol.
With the last 2 years of my life (not anything with my daughter), my life is one big ball of stress! Thankfully, it's going away...even if its very slowly.
Hopefully, next year will be completely stress free :)

Way to go for reporting the harassment! So much of that goes unreported, way to be proactive and take care of yourself!
Chocolate - at least 60% cacao. And a beautiful glass of red wine. Funny though, I don't enjoy the two together! :)

I'm with you - I think chocolate is good for whatever ails you. I don't do wine or other alcoholic options because I'm related to alcoholics and I don't want to set even one toe in that path. But chocolate... I'm the chocoholic in my family.
However, I've found something else that works, too. I grab a TREADMILL! Don't faint. Exercise helps as much - no, almost as much - as chocolate. I hate to say it.

My favorite quick fixes:
Trashy show or magazine. A phone call to a friend. A hot shower and a cup of coffee. A cigarette. A walk with my dog in the forest. A nap. A David Bowie dance party with my kids (costumes a must). The serenity prayer. A cup of Earl Grey tea with my mom. A swim. A day where I look at mamapedia way too often. A long stint on the couch, with a cat on my lap. An idiotic joke festival with my husband (we share our immature sense of humor...thank god). A good laugh. Especially if directed towards what ever is bothering me.

(b)A hug
(c)A trip to the coffee bar with a funny friend for a laugh
(d)A walk with my boys by the pond to feed the fish, or down the beach and just watching them run
(e)All of the above.

I totally agree with Chetina!!! Barefoot Moscato is good....and inexpensive!! Another good (inexpensive) Moscato wine I recently discovered is Sutter Home. Both brands are under $10, around here closer to $5 or $6.
Moscato wine is a light, fruity, sweet wine, without being overpowering or too sweet. I drink a glass now and then after my son goes to bed. It tastes so good! (If the truth be told, I just finished a glass.)

I eat however much I feel the situation calls for of a Symphony bar (the kind with toffee in it.. YUM!) Or I have Hubby give me a backrub, and usually we can transition that into something ...more. ;) Works for me every time. I'm also happy to return the favor when HE has a bad day. :)

This could be in three parts for me. Hornsby Crisp Apple beer, a glass of wine or chocolate. If I have had a really bad time of it, I do something nice for someone else. When I worked I used to pick up doughnuts for the girls, or something like that. There was one girl that shared my liking for caramel rolls (something I can't get here in florida :( and whenever I showed up with one for her too, she would smile and say, "Had a bad night huh?"
Also be careful of wine, for some reason it hits me harder that anything else, and I am not the only one. Lots of my friends say that too.

Gin and Tonic is my drink of choice this week. Every night after we put the kiddos to bed (a 2 year old and a 6 month old) my husband mixes up the drinks and we snuggle up on the couch. They wear me out, and my two year old is starting to throw the most amazing tantrums over EVERYTHING. Alcohol is a must! haha...I'm trying to cut out chocolate, but it used to be my weapon of choice :)
(P.S--I used to be Mormon, even went to BYU my freshman year of college. But the Word of Wisdom just doesn't make much sense to me..that's a discussion for somewhere else though!)

Mine's Ice Cream. Really good, rich, yummy ice cream. Ben & Jerry's-Cherry Garcia or Caramel Sutra. Dryer's Mint Chocolate Chip. Tillamook's Tillamook Mudslide.
Eaten on the couch with my warm & cozy fuzzy socks on watching something on TV. Then, sex! If it has been a really bad day, my husband "lets" me wear my fuzzy socks! (Not too romantic for him, but great for me!)
I'm so sorry that you had to go through that! Way to go on reporting him! Be strong! Good luck! Enjoy your chocolate!!!

COFFEE!! I also drink alcohol on occassion, but it usually makes me feel worse rather than better (sometimes I wonder if I'm allergic to it), but I love coffee. Especially the ridiculously expensive kind from Starbucks or Seattle's Best, full of caffeinne and sugar and enough calories for your whole day (caramel mochas are awesome) paired with a pastry that is also very bad for you. Yum.
