JFF, How Often Do You...

...catch yourself looking at other men, thinking 'woo hoo, what a babe!!'??

Just because you already ordered, doesn't mean you can't look at the menu ;)

SERIOUSLY though, once in a while I catch my guy checking out some babe (and I notice because I'm checking out her shoes/dress/boobs/earrings), I'll tease him about it and he always comes back with 'Her ears are funny' or 'her teeth are busted'... WHATEVER DUDE, you were checking her out, LOL...

I am a people watcher, big time, but I never really oogle over anyone. Recently, my guy pulled up a picture of a young Mike Ness (singer from Social D) and without thinking I said 'oh, yum!!'... he did the 'slow turn' to stare at me, and busted out laughing... then it was his turn to tease, LOL!! He finally caught me (sort of, it was ONLINE, LOL!!)

So, JFF, how often do you catch yourself checking out other men?

What can I do next?

LOL...good question! I look all the time! And if I'm with my hubby and see another hottie...I tell my hubby. He doesn't care...he knows I'm not going anywhere and I don't mind if he looks at other women...again...I don't get jealous and I know he isn't going anywhere. And I like the athletic guys...so when my hubby and I are watching sports together(which happens all the time) he knows what to expect! Gotta love college football!!!

I'm married, but I'm not blind, nor is my husband.
We both look when we see something we like, and we both know that touching is a no-no.

Kristina, we have celebrity free passes too. I told my husband that if Patrick Stewart, Harrison Ford, or Eric Clapton makes me an offer, he's going to have to leave the room. He said he'd rather stay and shoot video.
He told me that if Sheryl Crow, Renee Zellwegger, or Charlize Theron makes him an offer, he's taking it. I told him he has to share.

I am discreet about it though if my husband is with me. He is discreet too most of the time. I slap his arm if he is looking too hard!

I never check out other men. Doesn't do a thing for me. ;-))

I do ocassionally look at the good looking ladies. But I look, but never let it go farther. Why? I married the "babe". I see no need to go out for hamburger when I have filet mignon at home. (So to speak.)

Good luck to you and yours.

I'm a party pooper, but I don't check out other men. I do notice if a guy is good looking, but I don't think about it beyond the initial observation. I am a people watcher too, but I do pay attention to exactly what my thoughts are thinking. I never have daydreams about other guys or anything like that. it is a choice I make because it would be easy to pay more attention!

And, in the past eight years, I have seriously NEVER caught my husband checking out another girl. He doesn't stare at them when they walk by. I have never caught him looking at another girl. I mean, he's seen other girls, but his gaze never stops and follows. He'll stare at me, though...hehe. He still treats me like I'm the most attractive thing he's ever seen;-)

If a sleezy commercial comes on that's all sexual, he'll look away. At first I thought he was just doing it when I was around, but I would spy on him if I was in a different room (I just couldn't believe a guy would look away even if no one else was around!). I'd hear a commercial come on and know it was one of those sleezy ones, and I'd peek in to see if he looked away, and he would look away! It totally surprised me. And, I know he had no idea I was spying...hehe.

He never comments on whether other girls are pretty. I have to pry it out of him because sometimes I'm curious if a girl is pretty to guys that I don't think is pretty or I do think is pretty and guys don't, etc. He just doesn't like to pay attention to that. He feels like it's being disloyal to me to pay attention to other girls at all. He tells me I'm his dream girl and he only has eyes for me...ahhhh... I can't help but feel inclined to treat him the same way:-) I like it. I've never dated another guy who was like my hubby about this. But I really like it!

there is a man 3 doors down in our professional complex that is drop dead gorgeous and the sharpest dresser I've ever seen. He comes in to bring the rent check and all the girlies just melt. Nothing but a bunch of ear to ear grins when he walks in the door! He looks so sharp, no matter what he's wearing. He even makes a t shirt and shorts look so stylish, with his matching newmans cap and gorgeous sandals! He has a great big smile and gives great big, soft, lucsious hugs and he smells amazing! woo. hmm. ok. back to work.

Oh, please we point out eye candy to each other ... we can still run to the end of our chain and bark! Plus, most people we find astheticaly pleasing do not have the personality we love or values or anything else we scored on. We also have our "fantasy list" where basically if said celeb "wanted us" then we could have our go ... let's be real Jessica Biel or Christian Bale are NOT going to be avail to us any time soon but one can dream! And just for funzies when one of us are on our way home and calling to see if they need anything before we get home we say something like "Ok, time to kick Christian/Jessica out because I am coming home ... no walk of shame for them today" or somthing like that. In my relationship if you can not be playful with such things what is the point?

I just asked my husband abouth this last night! Funny! Last night I took my oldest to his teeball game while my husband stayed home with our little one and there were some hottie Dads at the ballpark last night! So when I got home I asked my husband if he is ever checks other women out. He said he frequently sizes up women that walk by when people watching. I told him that I was glad it wasn't just me!
I think it is normal to look! Just enjoying God's beautiful creatures!

I check out other men all the time, just like my husband checks out other women all the time. Hell, I'll even point out a cute girl if I think he's missed her! hahaha

I totally believe that there is NO HARM in looking. Now, if either of us were to go up and start *talking* to these strangers, THAT would be a problem...but looking? Nah...

OMG some of the answers here ... y'all are funny.

Just the other day as a matter of fact I was at the mall ... and holy moly this dude comes walking past me, close enough to smell his after shave too ... and good lord I about dropped my teeth LOL He was extremely attractive in the face and his body was so darn slammin ... WOW. I got caught staring at him ... he stopped ... did a little turn and said "Like what you see?" with this really great grin on his face. My answer was to roll my eyes and say "DUH ... you've got a mirror I'm sure. You can't be THAT oblivious". He laughed thanked me for the compliment and walked on. I had to wipe the drool off my chin LOL

Hubby and I have celeb freebie lists too LOL I don't mind if he looks .. he doesn't mind if I look. The way we see it ... we can get our appetites anywhere ... but we damn well better eat at home.

HA! My hubby has a vinyl framed of Mike Ness I get to stare at everyday :)

I am a people watcher too, but it's rare that I find a guy who I think 'oh yum' about, guess I'm picky. I'm more of a 'look at her shoes, purse, shirt' type of girl.

Although now that I think about it, there is this one guy who jogs by our house everyday, he's not too bad. LOL.

I do it often.

It has nothing to do with me not being satisfied. It has everything to do with me being human. As humans, we are visually attracted to what we consider attractive people. Doesn't mean I want to go jump their bones or have a long-standing illicit affair with them. I just think they're attractive.

I know my husband looks at hot chicks, too and it doesn't bother me whatsoever. We both know that we're human and not dead, and it is natural to enjoy and appreciate beauty. Heck, sometimes I'll even point out a good-looking woman to him!

Fortunately we are both very secure with our self-image and worth and are confident enough to do this.

R. - I look at men every day - I'm married - not dead!! I look at women too and point them out to my husband when we are out...when I first did this - it blew his mind - but now, after 14 years - he's used to it!! (rot roh raggy!!)

I LOVE to people watch! And when my best friend is here - we might go over to the Town Center and sit at one of the tables and make up stories about people and their lives as they walk by!! :)

Like you said, I'm a people watcher. So no matter what I'm always looking.

Now when it comes to checkin out guys.,..that honestly doesn't happen that often. There have been a few times where I've seen a guy and thought "he's pretty"
I still think my husband is the most beautiful man around.

I had to add.Teresa C...My husband is the same WAY!!!! In the beginning of our relationship I thought it was all B.s. But him and his guy friends are all like this!
I asked him before if he ever fantasizes about other women, or thinks about any women that way. He looks at me like I'm nuts! He has always said that he always has only fantasized about me. Even before we were dating and were just friends. It's really awesome to feel that way!.

Honestly - rarely. Hardly ever! I honestly think it is because there are way more good looking women than men. I probably check out women more than men! (Similar to what you said - boobs, earrings, hair, etc).

A man's smile does it for me. If he has a great smile, I melt. But most people don't walk around just smiling (maybe if they're weird). Lol. It is very rare I find someone who makes me look twice. Brains do way more for me than looks.

Fun question!!

Rare! Like REALLY rare. Can't even give an up to date example of a star I find to be a hottie (last I was looking was YOUNG Antonio Sabato Jr and Russell Crowe in the Gladiator---it's been awhile since I've paid attention!) I honestly kinda forget to look, and that's perfectly ok with me. What I do find a lot more attractive than physical attributes is....something else. I don't know how to explain it without sounding like a dweeb. But there are men that I may go "Wow, he's attractive" and then just "shake it off" so to speak. I think maybe a couple times in 5 years I've been like "Wow, that is a handsome man", but then I'd say it to my husband too (more like admiring a work of art, not lusting after a person). My husband, I love everything about him---looks, smell, personality, and "that thing". He makes me forget to look at others.
As for him, I know that he notices others the same as I do but I've never caught him gawking at a woman, ever. I too have seen him turn his head out of respect if something is on TV, even if I'm behind him in the kitchen and just glance over the bar, he's not looking. We are both the same in that sense. It's ok to think "she's pretty" or "he's good looking", but we won't ogle someone. And he has to tell me "that guy was trying to talk to you" or whatever, because I'm totally clueless, especially when around him.

@ 8KIDSDAD - I think I can speak for all the ladies on here when I say "We love your attitude!" :)

I rarely check out other guys - it's funny b/c it doesn't really occur to me to do so very often. I will on ocassion see a particularly striking man or a man with an attribute that I fall for (like PERFECT teeth) and go "Wow!" My stepson is always embarrassed and gets all defensive of his dad. I tell him "I'm married, not dead! Just b/c I've already made a purchase I am happy with doesn't mean I can't still window shop!"
