Anyone else wonder why everything else but 'Sex" is talked about on here? I am just wondering because aren't there any questions that you ladies would like to ask others and are afraid to post because someone will report you? I mean it's not like our children are reading our posts. I am not saying my any means asking obscene questions.

What can I do next?

I wish there was a Love button!!!!
I agree since when is it the norm to talk about bowel movements and coupons but the very subject that made us all into mothers, is taboo?!!! If we all talked about it and practiced it a whole lot more maybe instead of complaining about MIL's and husbands we'd be thinking about what fun we were going to have when the kids went to bed!
everyone posting that they are asked, i don't think you realize yes a few are, but they're pulled within seconds!

I have seen several posts regarding sex and I personally have nothing against it. I'm about as open minded as they come.

HOWEVER, there are a bunch of uptight mommas on this site. Sometimes I wonder how they ever became a birth mom.

So......what's your question?

Huh? I have no idea what you mean! People post about sex all the time on this site. You must be missing those posts.

As for SLM's post, sex should not be a taboo subject just because her 10 year old daughter browses on Mamapedia. That's ridiculous. Direct her to some sites that are appropriate for her age group!

It is talked about - but you have to be quick at the draw. Most of these uptighties report those types of questions!

I do think it's absurd that so many women are so uptight that they report every single thing they find not to go along with their own beliefs. This is not a site for children so it's not as if having what one may consider an inappropriate question is going to somehow affect their child. IDK, I just don't understand the whole crazy uptight to the point of wanting to control what others say/think/do/feel.

I dont mind the sex questions unless they are in bad taste. I didnt get to see what all got pulled here just recently since I was at work. I'm missing out on good stuff it seems, haha.

Hi A., I think there are a few reasons, I don't care how much security is put into place nothing on the internet is safe. The other reason i think is because sex is private, personal, and individual. And though we are in 2011 some married couple still believe it is sacred and not talked about outside the marriage. Now i could be wrong, but this is what i think. J.

Maybe you aren't lookin at the right times?
I've seen several questions on here about sex and peoples sex lives.
Some people think its too personal to ask.
All depends on people's perspective.

I am happy its not....it is really not what this board is about. A., if you do want to talk about sex there are probably a ton of all kinds of sites that you can visit. And they are probably one HELL of a lot more interesting and informative than here I bet you. I also want to add that often when sex is mentioned here it sounds like a pervtroll and I wouldn't trust it.

If I had a sex question, I think I would be more apt to ask it on here than say my mom, sister or girlfriend. 1, its not a face to face conversation. 2. its easier to be honest when you really dont know all the back ground drama and 3. if you talk to some one close, you never know if they will talk to someone else about it or bring it up in future conversations.

I know my mom had a best friend years ago....who she thought was a best friend I should say. She told her alot of things... come to find out, her freind was telling my dad everything... wow. Than after my parents got divorced the best friend and my dad got married... talk about wow...lol. It all good now, but was tough on my mom at first because she remembered telling alot of personal things...
anyways- if its in good honest taste, I think we should be able to ask an honest question...
enjoy your weekend all!

I was just thinking there seem to be a LOT of sex questions on here lately. If you want to ask something, just ask it! If it gets pulled, no big deal. :o)

I asked a question about a cock ring one time and didn't get very many responses. Perhaps it's because the readers didn't know what I was talking about or, they were embarrassed/ashamed. Who knows? Sex can be found anywhere on the internet, and this is a perfect site to ask the questions. I don't want to go to some sex site and feel like a perv, but I'd prefer to ask fellow mom's with experience.

I know what you mean...It always interests me too that there will be similar posts asking the SAME thing right after the other. But I have read some sex questions on here, but it is definitely not a MAJOR topic that I have seen. The "sexapedia" idea is hilarious though!
However, I can understand the privacy issues and concerns people may have on here, unless your name is encrypted, you can't really reply anonymously. I want to suggest a site that I refer to as often as I do here called SkinnyScoop. It is a fun and interesting site that you may be interested in checking out. Here's a link to their sex questions btw :p

Speak for yourself. My daughter is very inquisitive and follows this site sometimes and she's only 10. I agree that it's private and don't talk about it with hardly anyone.

I see plenty of questions about sex. In fact, I just answered one yesterday. I wonder why you wonder...people ask the questions that they need advice about. In my life, it is the last subject that I feel an outside perspective is needed!
