J.C.
I had an all black cat with green eyes and I named her Jade. We ended up calling her JJ all the time though.
Need kitten names. She's fluffy, adorable, midnight black (not even a single spot of white), green eyed, little, about 5 months old. Playful but also pretty docile. Gimme some ideas because she's getting vaccinated Saturday so we have to call her something other than 'kitty'.
So adorable, thank you for all the suggestions! We ended up with Sophie, I don't know how or why, we all just agreed on it, I think the hubs thought of it. I gravitate towards names with an 'ee' sound at the end, makes it easier to call the cat, (you know like, "here kitty, kitty, kitty").
And oh, she is 5 months old, but we only got her a few days before I asked this question. Unfortunately, we just found out she has ringworm that we were told was treated, so now all the kids have it!

I had a black cat growing up, she was Midnight. I now have a black kitty named Izzy. I really like Stephanies suggestion of Emma.
My son suggests Shadow. I think something related to the green eyes would be fun and unexpected, like Emerald or Emma for short.
So much fun to name pets...easier than naming kids!
:)
Tyra. (tyra banks is black and has beautiful green eyes)
I like real names for animals how about 'Chloe" 'Maxine" or "Samantha"
why not just Midnight?
O come on, show some humor,,name her Snowball.
Ebony or Sooty - like soot. My mom had a black cat named Sooty.
Fedora, Felicity, La-La
I like Raven (although now I have the theme song to that's so raven stuck in my head lol)
Jade sounds pretty too
Galaxy
Bandit
Coco
Felix (lol)
Harlequin (or Harlem, Idk why I just want to name a pet that, I just like the way Harlem flows)
Ninja (lol)
Pepper
Ash
Emerald (Emmie) because of her green eyes.
Raven came to mind too! Hah!
Abra (for abracadabra). bagheera (the panther from jungle book) although that would be better for a boy cat, Olive, Pearl (like the black pearl from pirates of the caribean, Bean (like a coffee bean) sorry im only doing a lot of half names but i think they are cute none the less, maggie (like a magpie), puma okay im done for now.
Midnight is always good...there's also Blackie, Smokie, Cutie Pie, Fluffy, Salem, Ezmerelda, Charlie, Charlene, Freddi, Georgie & there's the good ol' Trouble as a name...just about any name is good. Good luck.
Lucy! I had a patient once at a nursing facility that had green eyes like emeralds and she was quiet until you got her playing rummy. Then her jokester side came out. She was hilarious!
Ink is a good one. Onyx. Miss Kitty.
Cosmos
Onyx
Boots
Raisin
Twinkles
Lucky (because she's lucky to have you)
Willow
Galaxy
What's wrong with Kitty? After 5 months, its going to be hard to call her anything else.
I think you just named her when you described her as midnight black, I'd go with Midnight. Unless something in her personality strikes you for another name.
Ask your kids. I think the cutest pet names are the ones that kids make up.
Noire (nwar, roughly) is French for black, female
Emerald for her eyes
Midnight is an old standby for a pretty black cat
Or you could go with something ironic in reverse like Whitey or Snowflake :)
Enjoy your kitten!

Smoke, Elvira, Monroe (as in Marilyn), Trixxie, Sabrina, Salem, Pheobe, Piper, Domino, Mrs. Kitty, Devereaux, Stilletto, Prissy, Shadow, Belle, Whisper, Echo, Magic, Majesty.
I could go on and on! Lol! I've always loved naming things. I'll be interested to see what you decided on! Good Luck and have fun!
Iris, Midnight, Ebony, Raven, Stormy
I usually name pets based on something to do with how they came to me. I had an all black cat with green eyes and I named him the name of my ex boyfriends favorite drummer, bc he is the one who gave him to me. I had a cat that was black as a kid named Frodo bc my mom was a Lord of the Rings nut (she previously had a dog named Gandalf). I had some friends who found a stray at the mall and named him Mervyn, bc that was the store parking lot they found him in. Of course you could also do something obvious like Ebony, Brownie, Coco etc, those are all cute too ;)
"Samantha" - in homage to the character on "Bewitched"
