I seperate vacuming, sweeping and mopping from 'cleaning each room' only because my husbands definition of clean is 'pick up' and he refuses to vacumn unless specifically told!
I am creating of list of household chores in order to divide tasks amongst household members.
(we have no pets)
- laundry
- dinner
-clean up dinner
-kid baths
- garbage
-bathrooms
- cleaning each room as necessary (weekly for kitchen, living, etc)
- washing bed sheets
- making kid's lunches
What am I missing?

There is one huge responsibility that moms tend to assume so naturally that they never put it on the list:
Management!
There is always a supervisory person that makes sure everyone is doing the chores assigned to them, who takes the time to research and make lists like this, who takes over or re-assigns chores when someone is too sick to do their part, who takes care of the ones who are sick, etc. That person is usually Mom! So, you can add 'buck stopper' to the list, because their is always someone who wears the hat that says, "The Buck Stops Here".
For anyone who is not familiar with the idiomatic phrase:
