A friend is having problems finding a wedding venue and reception venue for May or July of 2009. She wants to stay in the Ft. Worth or Arlington area if possible and is on a kind of tight budget. She has 170 people on the guest list. Any suggestions?

There are a couple of wedding & reception venues on Precinct Line Road in the midcities area. I believe they are: Northeast Wedding Chapel and White Chapel. Good luck and best wishes!!

There is the White House in Arlington off of Park Row and Fielder, ###-###-####. There is also the Green Oaks wedding chapel off of South Green Oaks and Kelly Elliot, ###-###-####. You might also call Molly's hamburgers, ###-###-#### They do catering and have a large room for receptions. I don't know how many they can accomadate though. Another really neat place is the YMCA in downtown Ft. Worth. A really great caterer is Billie Hendrex Weddings in Grand Prairie and they could recommend several places as well ###-###-####.

I am not sure if they can accomodate such a large group, but it cannot hurt to look into... the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. We got married there 11 years ago and held our reception there. It was beautiful and affordable. Congrats and good luck.

I would suggest you go to www.theknot.com you have to register, but I think it is free. It will have every venue in the area for her to look at.
