Looking for a Good Place to Get Guys Haircuts

Hello, I have four boys and I have always cut thier hair including my husbands. I have lost the touch and just can't seem to do a good job anymore. The thought of paying for 5 hair cuts every 3 weeks just sounds like alot of money but I guess it has to be done. Does anyone know of a good resonable place for guys? Barber shops or salons? I really would like to find a $10 hair cut but I am sure that is not realistic. It would be great to find someone in thier home who does it on the side. I live in Leawood near 103rd and State Line and would like to stay close. If you know of anyone please let me know. Thanks!

What can I do next?

If you keep an eye out for coupons in the mail or in the paper, you can easily get some for Great Clips...in the last month I've gotten ones for $7.99 and once even $2.99!

A bit off-topic, but how much would you charge for a 1-yr old in your daycare? I live in Olathe and my current sitter is off of 71 Hwy and Gregory (I work in Westport), and would like to get a sitter closer to home.

Hi there M.,

I don't have a place to suggest, but wanted to present another option. This all depends on what kind of haircuts you want for your fellas, but we do ours at home with a Comb N Cut. It is like a shaver but really, really controlled. Just takes off a little bit of hair at a time so everything stays even. If you are looking for simple cuts, short and clean, this might be a good option. Works well for us, even though we do get ribbed a little for using a "flowbie." It is, I think, like $33 or something. But it has definately paid for itself - my husband hasn't paid for a haircut in years! Good luck!

You could take them to a cosmetology school. They only charge 5-6 dollars per haircut. There is one at 103rd and I-69, right in that shopping center with National American University.

Honestly, the Great Clips at 95th & Metcalf is great, we are on the mailing list (guess hubby signed up) and we get $7.99 coupons regularly-- there is only one stylist who works there and she is great, my mom is a former stylist and next to her this is the best haircut I have gotten and my hubbys looks good everytime too-- my boys buzz cuts are just growing out so we haven't had theirs done all summer but will be heading in soon! Tiff (mom of 2 boys, 2.5yrs and 1yr)
