I haven't been yet because I don't have a babysitter, but I have been told by numerous people that Second Empire in Downtown is an absolute must.
Enjoy!!!
Hi moms! Well, I am so excited because this year Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday AND I have a babysitter! My husband and I are looking for a great restaurant in the Raleigh area to go to. Some of our tried and true favorites for special occasions are Angus Barn, Melting Pot, 42nd Street Oyster Bar and 518 West. We are looking to expand our horizons and try a new place...steak houses, seafood, Italian, anything really! I would love to hear some of your favorites. Thanks a bunch!

We love 2nd Empire and Sullivan's. Both are in downtown Raleigh.
Second Empire downtown and Nina's in N. Raleigh are great.
I really like Vin. It have very interesting food with a very metro feel. You can get wine in iddy biddy amounts too, if you like just a taste. My husband and I like to sit at the food prep bar for something more casual and share.
We love the Bonefish Grill in Cary. There is one in Raleigh too. They have such great food!
Hi K.,
One of my all time favorite restaurants is Sullivan's Steak House on Glenwood Avenue. Not sure if you are a drinker, but thier Pinapple Crushed Martini's are the BEST! I think they call it a knockout, you only need one! The steaks are delish! You may want to make reservations as soon as you can.
Hope you have a wonderful Valentine's dinner!
Blessed Be~

Try Biaggi's in Cary. Great food, good atmosphere, and won't break the budget. I am not sure if you need a reservation, but I would call ahead and see. I also like Caffe Luna on Blount Street, but it is a little pricey for dinner, and the seating is limited.
I would highly recommend the Capri Restaurant in Sutton Square. It is an Italian place. Dino and Pino are the owners but also greet you and wait tables. They are the best! It's a small place in the corner to the left of where Harris Teeter was.
