My Don'ts:
- Though I have heard some good things about Italian Inn, it's not at all romanic - in fact I thought it was a bit trashy..sorry Megan.
- The Keg too much like Chili's and all of the other chain restaurants. Special meals warrant a special restaurant.
OH SO WORTH IT:
Reata is a wonderful suggestion (a must is their Tenderloin tamales). Don't do the rooftop if cold though. You would never regret a meal here...I'd make reservations ASAP
There are several restaurants that have opened on 7th street (by Montgomery Plaza). Our favorite is Patrizzio's Italian. The decor is modern and elegant and they are not at all pricey. That's our new "go to" for Italian.
The Brownstone is supposed to be super yummy (one of the Top Chef stars runs this)
Have you been to Brio in Southlake Town Center? It's incredible! Dim lighting, nice decor and an overall romantic atmosphere. They are Tuscan Italian (cleaner fare that typical meatballs, etc.) They fill up quick...but it would be worth the wait.
Good luck!
