I have had 3 babies. The first 2 ob's were women. The last one was a man, Dr. Timothy Kim. He is soooo awesome. The women I had were good to see during the checkup appts. But when it came time to deliver. The first one kept acting like she was better at delivering babies than me. She had just delivered a couple months prior. Kinda acted like I was a big baby with the pain. The second woman doctor was out of Dr. Timothy Kims office. Her name was Dr. Laurie Stanczak. She was really nice through all the checkups too. During delivery she threatend me with a c section to get me to push better. It freaked me out and I pushed with all my might. She told my husband it works every time. That really upset me. You don't do that to people in a delicate moment like that. So I switched to Dr. Kim in the same office. I loved him. I can't say anything bad about him. He was soooo reassuring during the delivery. I wanted to do it natural the last time. I did. He kept congratulating me on how good a job I was doing. When the baby came out he acted like he was part of the family. He said Happy Birthday baby. He had no problems with videoing and picture taking during delivery. And he spends tons of time with you answering any questions you have. The office is on 23 mile rd. right before I94 freeway. You would deliver out of Henry Ford Macomb. I wish you luck. D.
p.s. be careful with Dr. Enid Roberts. My good friend had her. She liked her alot. But Dr. Roberts talked her into inducing labor 2 weeks before her due date. Dr. was gonna be on vacation. My friend agreed and she was induced where she spent 18 hours trying to dilate with falsely induced contractions. The baby ended up turning and then they had to do a c section. Don't let anyone talk you into inducing. Let your body do go into labor naturally. When you mess with mother nature things like that happen. I even went 2 weeks past my due date with my last one. She was 7 lbs. and came out nice and quick. Refuse pitocin if at all possible. Dr's now a days always try to rush things along so they can go home and not spend hours in delivery. It's your special day, your money, and your decision. Remember that.
