Need an Idea

I just found out that I am pregnant. I am unsure of my due date because we are moving in 1 1/2 weeks and am waiting to go the doc back home. I am wondering if anyone has any ideas on a "longer" boy name for Jesse. I love the name Jesse but I would like to use it as a shortened name rather than the given name. I have searched on some baby name sites but have found nothing that I can "pull" Jesse from.
Thanks a bunch.

I am not exactly sure how to spell this, but I'll give it a good try...lol. I read this name in a book a few years ago, it's "Jessiah". It's kind of sounds like "Mariah." I know how it's pronounced because I had a friend back home who was Amish, and that was his Fathers' name. I don't know the orgin, but you could pull Jesse from there. I reall love old fashioned names. Anyhow, good luck! And Congrats!!!
God Bless!!

When my mom was pregnant with my older brother my dad begged her to name him Jessekia or Jessecia(sp?) pronounced Jess-e-k-i-a. She wasn't a fan of it and he wanted to call him jesse for short. My brother became a Jr. instead. But the story and the name has always stuck with us. I take my moms side on that one, but some people like it.

Hi S., I am also searching baby names for my new little bundle. When I was searching I came across Jessen for a boy, and Jeslyn for a girl.....not sure if either appeal to you, but that's all they had listed under Jesse.
Good luck with the move and the new baby whatever you name this baby it will fit:)

Not sure if you like this idea, but how about Jesse as a middle name instead of trying to shorten a first name, and then you could still call him that...
I like Josiah too : )

If you want to know your due date. Take the first day of your last period, add 7 days and subtract 3 mos. That will be your approximate due date. Good luck on moving. I love the name jessie but can't think of anything longer either. Congratulations
