Hey fellow Moms! I am having to put my 17 week old little girl in daycare in April, and I was wondering if anyone else had infants in daycare around the area of Lexington. Any feedback and opinion would be wonderful!!

Hi J.,
Click on the link below to view the various childcare centers available there in Lexington.
I think there are 74 facilities in Lexington. Click on the underlined links underneath the each facility name to learn more about each individual facility. Below I've chosen Lexington for you.
***Pay close attention to the License area on the page. The highest rating for a license is five star.

***Here's the link to the main site to search other cities/counties. You can also perform a more defined search such as all the five star facilities, a zip code search, the various types of facilities such as centers, county search, home, etc.

Once you click on a facility name link, then click on the various tabs at the top to view information such as DCD visits(to learn if they are in compliance or has had any violations). Also the actions taken tab.
Please pay close attention to the following tabs to learn more as well:
The basic facility information tab. You will learn about sanitation here and the total points they achieved.
The License information tab will show you how their stars were obtainted and how they are rated in various components such as program, education and quality. The maximum amount of points available is 15.
Sometimes more information is listed in the Special facility features tab such as the staff/child ratio policy.(which is highly important)
Need help with terms? If you see an asterisk next to a term, you can click on it and go to the glossary.
Hope this helps you!
I would check with social services and get a list and also find out which and what daycares have been written up with licensing. I assume licensing is a nationwide thing.
I've heard lots of good things about Kids R Kids on eagle creek. one of me best friends works there and she really likes it and says they are really good to the kids.
I have had my daughter at LaPetite on Wellington (behind Palomar Center). They have a great facility and staff. They have wonderful lesson plans with lots of art projects. They move the kids from room to room pretty often. Like as soon as they are mobile they get moved out of nursary 1 and then are in with all crawlers and beginner walkers. Once they walk really well they get moved into the toddler room until they are 2, etc. They also have a fantastic menu for the kids...not just hot dogs and mac n cheese! She is learning so much being there (she turn 2 three weeks ago and is already counting to 14!) I wish I could keep sending my daughter (and soon-to-be son)there but it is just too expensive for 2 kids!:( So I'm looking for a new place too!
Not sure where you are located.
We have only used one day care since our kids stopped going to an individuals home.
We use WeeCare on Rasco Road in Southaven.
Hello, I used to work and send my children to Growing Together Preschool and loved it, but wanted to stay home with my children.
