If Las Colinas is not too far, check out the cobble stone streets near the canal. And the townhomes also add a very European feel. Your photographer may even know the area to which I am referring.
I have scheduled with a photographer to take some family pictures coming up on Sat. 11/1. I was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for an outdoor location within about a 30 minute drive of Roanoke? We are tentaively planning on the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens but I was thinking that if someone had a suggestion that was closer I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance for your help!

lots of people do family pics in Bear Creek Park in Keller - there is a bridge, a creek and a really cool crooked tree. I like old wooden fences - the leaves don't really turn color here - but back in New England I loved fall photos!!
Look around your area - with a photographer's angle - you may find something really neat.
Go to the Botanical Gardens at Heritage Park in Grapevine. It's located on Ball at 411 Ball Street. It's a very nice park with koi ponds, gazebo, nice bridges and plenty of greenery and flowers.
I would stick to the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth. Lots of cool places and it costs nothing to walk around most of it and you can get wonderful shots. There is this HUGE tree that is hallow inside that the kids could "peek" out of (they can fit inside) and ya'll could stand or sit outside of the tree, it is really cool..
