Hi B.,
CONGRATULATIONS on your exciting news!! To answer your question... just about any doctor at the Wichita Clinic, I think, will be great! I've had two kids, and Wichita Clinic and its staff have been nothing less than wonderful!
Good luck and God bless you, ls
My daughter and several friends and family members have went to Dr. Ronald Ferris and he has never missed a birth for any of them.

He is a family practice dr but delivers a lot of babies. He is also strict Catholic and will not prescribe birth control so you'd have to go to your PCP for that. But, I lided him. He delivered the last 2 of my grandchildren. And, my daughter loved him! Congrats and good luck!
I saw Dr. Anna Stork-Fury off Hillside which is extremely close to Wesley medical center. She is in an office where all but one doctor is a woman and I found that extremely helpful in asking questions. She also delivers at the women's center there by Wesley if your insurance allows it and you would like to deliver in that type of facility.
I just had a baby (this week). If you are looking for the perfect OB I have yet to find it. I had this one with Dr. Feuille and was pretty impressed. I still had to ask lots of question to get much information, but my delivery was awesome.
For a pediatrician we use Dr. Hund at Mid-Kansas Peds. They have several good docs and are very communicative.
Every Dr will be different with each person and circumstance. You are early enough to try someone different if you have any issues with one. But know that if you deliver when your dr is not on call you could end up with a collegue, so you need to like them also. I have friends who adores their ob but had to deliver with another an despised the whole experience.
I've had 4 or my 5 kids in wichita and I've dealt with several different obs in town, including michael brown as others have recommended, but at planned parenthood trying to get birth control after my 2nd daughter when I was 18. and he was a complete jack. like I said, circumstances.
I did really like steven zielke. I trusted him because I worked along side him occasionally in the hospital. But, he did get pretty testy with a nurse who hadn't completed his orders after I'd been there 4 hrs and baby was having some problems. again, circumstances
Good luck on your search. but know that your experience can be good or bad whether someone comes highly recommended, or not recommended at all. Talk to the dr about your wishes as you go along and educate yourself about different options and be sure to explore the hospital options also. Also had a baby in every hospital in this town and my favorite was Riverside believe it or not, but obviously not an option now. I did really like wesley birth care center with the most recent baby. Also check out your insurance and be sure you have the choices you want and be sure that the dr you like goes to the hospital you want to go to.
sorry that I'm going on and on, I just keep thinking of things.
I went to Dr. Theresa Craddock for the delivery of my twins and my third child. I LOVE her. She is probably in her late 30's early 40's. Two kid of her own. Very patient. I used to take a list of questions with me and she would sit and ask if I had anything to ask. If I didn't pull out my list then after she did the exam she would sit down and ask if I had questions. She told me later that she got pulled over by the policeon the way to the delivery of the twins. She arrived on time. I also remember assuming that I would have a c-section since it was twins. At about 5 months she said there was no reason I couldn't have a vaginal delivery. I was cared out of my wits but she was right. Recovery was amazing. During the delivery, Alaina ws born and then my contractions stopped. Dr. Craddock held on to my stomach for an hour and a half so that Sophia would flip and go feet first requiring me to have a c-section for the second baby. I remember looking at her while we waited for the second baby to be born and I asked if I should be concerned. She looked me in the eye and said "I would not look this calm if you had anything to be concerned about". I immediately new that everything would be fine.
The other doctor in her practice is Lowden. She delivered babies for my friends and they love her. She and Dr. Craddock are very similar. But, I only saw her once because they both try to see only their patients. There is a third doctor there now but I don't know her. But, I assume they would pick someone similar to them.
Sorry for the recitation. I just really like and trust her.
Congratulations!! For my second daughter (8 1/2 months old now) I had Dr. Victoria Kindel at Associates in Woman's Health. I LOVE her!! Very down-to-earth, will talk to you and listen to what you have to say. I really liked her support staff (nurses, receptionist, lab techs, sono tech, etc) as well. ###-###-#### The office is just east of the Wesley Birthcare Center, at Hillside and Murdock. Good luck!
Congratulations! I went to Dr. Doug Douthit ###-###-####. Because I was pregnant with twins, my pregnancy was considered high-risk and I did end up delivering early, but because Dr. Douthit's office is in the Health Strategies building that is connected to Wesley, it took him little time to get there. One of the other doctors in his practice did the follow-up care to my c-section when Dr. Douthit was out of town, and I was equally impressed with him. Dr. Douthit is really laid back, funny, and has great bedside manner. He was recommended to me by my mother and several other people that we know. Best wishes to you!
