Newbie, How Do I Respond to Comments from My Own Questions?

You ask a common question. First, I should clarify there is no way to respond directly and publicly to someone else's responses to your question -as in Facebook. However, you can always respond privately to any member by clicking on their profile name, (seen at the top of their comment) which will take you to their profile page where you will see a clickable large SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE button. Simply click on it to send a private response to their comment. Second, you can also always follow up after receiving comments, more generally, with additional information or thoughts by using the SWH (so what happened) button provided for each question you post.

This isn't facebook. So in order to respond, you use your "so what happened" (SWH) and add to it.

You can also ETA (edited to add) your response and clarify things.

Or you can send a message to the person.

You aren't able to respond to them directly - but what you can do is in the SWH section, address each person by name and post your comment or reply there - they may or may not see it depending if they go back to the question again

When you look at your question you will see the option to edit.

Click on that then add to additional details. You can put ETA (Edited To Add) and write more. You can also just go down to the "so what happened" and address each person in a short way to answer if they asked you questions.

Then save it, make sure you didn't lose your title line. Sometimes it goes away.

If you want to "like" their comment, showing thanks or agreement or a "thumbs up", you click on "Send Flower".
