Have you or has anyone you know applied online to become a Wedding Officiant?

Yes, like Joey did on Friends. LOL

Wondering if the process differs between states... the approximate cost... how difficult is it? Can anyone do it?

My wonderful cousin, a young lady of 27, worked for a few years as a campus minister for an organization that places individuals on college campuses to develop fellowship programs, etc. She is just amazing, and I would love for her to do our wedding ceremony. She would have to become certified (or whatever the designation is), and I'd like to pay for that for her, if it's not terribly costly.

I did a quick search online, but couldn't nail down anything that gave a clear, concise summary of the process, costs, requirements, etc.

Do you know anything about this process?

Universal Life Church, wuick and easy, but check with the state. I believe they (PA) changed their laws and no longer recognizes them as legal / valid marriages.

My brother did exactly what Missy F did through Universal Life Church.
He preformed my wedding, as well as several others. I think in our state there are restrictions against him doing funerals, and baptisms, but thats it.

I became ordained through the Universal Life Church 10 years ago to perform my best friend's wedding. It took 2 minutes, literally, online and was free. I have since married several other friends in 2 different states. You just have to check with your state's office in charge of marriage licenses to see what they consider an approved officiant. Good luck!

Hi, L.:
Go to City Hall and get a license to get married with
your fiance. The person who marries you then
signs the certificate and mails it in.

Hope this helps.
