I am trying to find an out door venue for a wedding reception in the San Jose, Area or surrounding. We are planning on having a large Luau type wedding reception and I think a Luau in doors is a bit funny. Anyway, i've been told about Saratoga Spring however i've heard there is major bee's which I am very afraid of :) any info would help thank you!!

What can I do next?

Hi Dana~
Here is a list I compiled from other Real Estate Agents. Good Luck to you! ~ Lucy B.

Wedding Venues – 2009

Daniel Ebrahemi: My uncle owns David’s Restaurant in Santa Clara, and the number is ###-###-####; ask for David or Jean.
Jinny Ahn: http://www.clubcorp.com/club/scripts/section/section.asp?...
Capital club. It is located near Market St in San Jose downtown. Top of the knight ridder building.
Lee at Ethical Approach: Moorpark Hotel - www.jdvhotels.com -
4241 Moorpark Ave
San Jose, CA 95129
###-###-####
Vicky Le: I highly recommend Clos LaChance. The prices are very reasonable compared to that of Napa and Sonoma. The view is spectacular. The ceremony is outdoors by a tall trellis overlooking rolling hills in the back, golf course to your left and vineyards to your right; it’s absolutely stunning. Cocktails, dinner reception, and dance area are all in one location . . .very convenient. They even have a bridal room that overlooks the vineyard and the courtyard.
Check out their website: www.clos.com
You have to take a visit there in person because the picture doesn’t do it justice.
Mark Jongsma: My wife and I were married at Freedom Hall in Santa Clara…Interesting and affordable.
Their package includes food, beer, wine, soda, cake and DJ J
http://www.freedomhall.com/
Phil Waddingham: Kingfish Restaurant in San Mateo
Mary Ann Wallace: This idea is not as formal as some might want but you can take all your guests on a steam train up the redwoods through the LG Mtns and get married on top where they actually have a wedding circle, or tree, I can't remember, but then you take the train back down and they have a place for a band and serve bbq outside on picnic tables. As I said, not formal but quite memorable! It's called Roaring Camp and is in Scotts Valley.
Adrienne Klaas: One of my children got married and had the reception at the College of Notre Dame ..now called Notre Dame de Mazur (i think) in San Mateo..a beautiful and elegant setting and you can hire ALL your own people...

Ivan Margaretich: Family run businesses:
The Historic Del Monte Building in Downtown Sunnyvale can accommodate 70-300 people.

Villa Ragusa in Downtown Campbell can accommodate 100-600 people.

Minerva Quilala: University Club in Palo Alto did a great job at a 50th birthday bash that I went to.
Jean Tenore: I went to a fantastic wedding at Pasatiempo golf course last spring and it was lovely. The ceremony was in the garden and the reception inside off the garden terrace. It is right off Hwy 17.
Marie Lipp: We had our wedding/reception at the Rengstorff House at Shoreline in Mountain View. The setting is gorgeous. We had the best time, 130 guests. It was perfect...check it out.
Christine Kim: Villa Montalvo, Saratoga - My girlfriend just had her wedding there...I think the max was 150. Gorgeous venue especially for photos - www.villamontalvo.com
Paul Newman: Cinnabar Hills Golf Course ###-###-#### - Beautiful, natural setting. They do all sorts of weddings and other events on a regular basis, and I've always heard positive reviews.
Amy Kramer: I got married at the Saratoga Country Club. It was fantastic! Beautiful venue for the ceremony.
Ethel Green: Palo Alto Hills Golf and CC - ###-###-####
Marc Roos: The best place is Mission Ranch in Carmel, owned by Clint Eastwood….. They have a small barn and a patio just outside for the ceremony. It is great!!!
Candace Levers: This is a beautiful setting in the redwoods, not far from Los Gatos. It’s an exquisite place for weddings—anytime of year. There’s an inviting building flanked with gorgeous hardwoods on the grounds for dancing, “cake ceremony,” etc. for at least 100. Catered meals can be set-up inside or outside on their spacious lawns. It’s a “must see” and a hidden treasure so close to home!

Jenn Holst: Willow Heights Mansion, 1978 Willow Springs Road, Morgan Hill, CA 95037

Lei Skov: Saratoga country club is good, beautiful view, good food, nice environment. Phone number is: ###-###-#### ask Linda, tell her Steve Gordon referred you.

Mary Jo Townzen: recommends her neighbor of nine years, Christine Kelly, an event planner, cell phone ###-###-####. “She must know of every venue there is to have a wedding and the ins and outs to all of them.”

Sanborn Park in Saratoga is just up the road a little from Saratoga Springs and has a large covered BBQ pit area and lots of open spaces. You could also look into Blackberry Farm on Stevens Creek Blvd (past 85 interchange in the foothills).
Congrats on your upcoming nuptuals!

We got married at the Ainsley House in Campbell. I wouldn't have change a thing. We had a "gathering in the garden" wedding theme. Funny is that I was there just yesterday and still just love it! Good Luck!
