OK here is my situation.....My fiance and I have planned on eloping to Vegas in early Feb. however I am having second thoughts, not about getting married but eloping. He has been married before and I have not. The more I think about it the more I would like to have a few family members and close friends attend this special day. I have discussed this with a few family members and and they are in full support. I have not brought this to his attention because he seems to be stuck on the fact that it will cost too much money and I will turn in to a Bridezilla(he watches too much TV...LOL. I figure if I can plan this thing out with the help of my family and come to him with a plan I might be easier. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice on a reasonably priced hall where we could have a fairly decent wedding and reception that catered as well. I have called few places and I was going to see the hall at the Eagles Club in Taunton but due to the weather I had to reschedule. I need something that will seat at least 50 people,can cater, and has a bar. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

You should check the Holiday Inn in Taunton. They can make a hall smaller or larger depending on the number of guests. I was looking into this for my own wedding and the prices were very reasonable.
have you tried Benjamins? thats where my husband and I got married and they have a wedding planner and you can get married in front of the fire place really nice, pretty reasonably priced, and I use all local venders. just a thought

First off, congratulations!!! Have you called Benjamin's? They have a limited availability for when they do weddings, but I believe they are reasonably priced. I had actually booked a date with them back in 2001, but changed the date and they could not accommodate.
