Hi R.....in our community it's all over the place...some with 1 child, some 2 but most are 3 and 4 kids I would say....
I was wondering if you could share with me what the average family size is in your communities. I have been noticing a trend of families of 3 and 4 and was wondering if this is a general trend or just something in my own community.
(I read in The Economist that most Western countries are suffering from a negative population growth and am curious to know if Americans are "replacing" themselves or increasing their numbers.)

Hi R.-
In my community it really varies. For people with kids, it's typically 2-3 kids and 2 parents. Of course, there are some single parents but me being the anti-socialite that I am, I don't really know whom.
A little about me:
I love to shop and read as well as help others. I own my own business and I am a business coach providing free mentoring to individuals with stay at home businesses, teaching the skills needed for success.
I am newly married (Sept. '07) but we've been together for 5 years. I have 3 children, 1 is special needs. He's the best little boy! Christopher is 7. My other 2 are 13 (girl) and 20 (boy)
All sizes, but the most common seems to be 3 children in a family. There are plenty with 1, 2, 4 and even 5 though.
In my neighborhood the popular numbers are 2 to 3 kids.
I'm pregnant with my fourth and I'm an oddity around here. Most people have one or two.
