Per craigslist.org

craigslist has implemented 2-way email relay to help stop spam and scams.
When replying to a post you'll see an address like:
____@____.com

When answering an email you'll see an address like:
____@____.com

Use your email program as you normally would.

PLEASE NOTE: The “real name” field (e.g. Jane Doe) in your email program is passed through to the recipient. Any contact information in the body of your message will pass through unaltered.

Could you test it with your friend or husband? I feel like there is a point when I do see the real email and not the craigslist one.

Have him go online to your post and respond then you reply.

It's filtered through craigslist...you get a long "craigslist" email, but you do see a name.

I think you can block your email but when I have used it after the first reply they see my email. I have created an email for craigslist, its easier for me that way.

Also, I have used it many times here in Florida and in PA, I have never had any problems but I try to meet people in a public place and/or bring someone with me. If they must come to my home I put the stuff outside the garage with the door shut and never let them inside. I do not enter anyone else's home unless there is someone with me, I usually ask for them to bring it out.

If you get an offer that sounds too good to be true then do not respond there are plenty of scammers out there.

Maybe I don't understand your question. That person already has your rmail address. Otherwise how would you get their message? What is your concern?

If that message was forwarded to you and you are sending a message to his email address then yes, your address will appear in your message.
