Steam Mop

Hi D., a friend of mine bought one and she doesn't like it at all. Doesn't work as well as they say. I clean houses for a living and us a micro fiber mop. Works like a hot darn.

I bought a Shark steamer with attachments, one of which is a mop. I never could get the thing to work right without some leak. It ended up being a $100 mistake that I will not make again.

I LOVED the idea, I loved the fresh smell after using it a couple times. After that, I could not get the attachments to work well so I just moved on.

I still like using the mop, you can't get the pine soil scent with the steam mop and beside the steam mop doesn't remove the shoe marks.

Don't waste your money! I bought mine and it does NOT clean well at all. Save your money and pay for a housekeeper!

I got the Shark steam mop right after Christmas. It did work, but I think I wanted it to work better than it did. It sounded like a dream on TV. So, for me it wasn't worth the money. I still had to get on my hands and knees for the tough stuff after I used it. My floors probably get worse than the average house, though. We have a huge dog who constantly drags in dirt. Sorry this post probably doesn't help you enough to make a decision! Hopefully, you'll get some other responses to help. Good Luck!

I have a Bissell Steam Mop that I really enjoy because it is quick and easy but I do not feel that it gets the tile as clean as using a mop. It is good for a quick clean up but not something I would use for deep cleaning - I like the clean smell I guess. Also, the pad that comes on it needs to be taken off each time it is used so it can dry good or it will mold.
