Z's florist in Plano, TX is great! You will almost always get a better arrangement from a local florist vs an online one. Good luck!
Many times I've been disappointed with the difference between the
arrangement that I ordered and the one that is received. The recipient
is in Dallas Texas. Do you have suggestions with a record of
satisfaction? I shy away from being too specific about the kind of
flower (Peonies) because they may not be the freshest in the shop
on that given day. Any advice will be welcomed. Thanks

Here is another
Lane Florist ###-###-####. Ask for Angela Ferris or her assistants, Blanca and Josie.
Garden Gate Floral
One of my clients says they do beautiful work. She has impeccable taste.
I would be happy to ask friends that live up there.
We've used McShan florist on many occasions. They have always been wonderful.
I'm in Dallas area. Z's is great. I don't know the zip code for your delivery but many times, local florists have websites where you can order online.
I've done than many times with my family in other areas of the US and have had great experiences.
Personally.. In my area, I use Appletree! Great service
I no longer order flowers online. I call flower shops in the area that I'll be sending them to and order that way. I make it clear that I want the arrangement to actually be arranged, etc. Luckily most of the flowers I send are to people in my home town, so I know some great florists there and can trust the quality of their product. If you don't know of any good ones, perhaps do a Yelp search for florists in Dallas.
Absolutely use a local floral shop. Is your friend's address Dallas, or is it a suburb of Dallas? If it's a suburb, type in the name and florists. If it's Dallas, try typing in your friend's zip code so that it's a florist in that zip code area. There will be plenty of them on line. Then call them up and talk to them.
Never use Ftd or the other flower houses. Their flowers are awful.
I love Pro-Flowers. I have used them a lot for family that are far away and always get good reports on what's delivered. Good Luck!
Search florists in The area that you are sending them to. If, after speaking to them you are satisfied, place an order. Never failed me doing it that way.
This way, if there is a problem with the flowers, the recipient could go directly to florist to correct.
I've always had great luck with Pro Flowers online.
Yes. Do not use 1-800-FLOWERS, teleflora.com, or ftd.com. There are many great florists associated with those services, but the giant corporation takes a huge chunk of money off the top of your order. As a result, florists are likely to short change you a bit on those wire orders and give the best product to their direct customers. Be a direct customer! Call a local florist directly. Look for a shop that has their own work on their website, not just generic catalog arrangements.
I have used Dr. Delphinium in the past and been happy:
http://www.drdelphinium.com/
But call them directly, do not ask teleflora to use them. Seriously, you will get 20% OR MORE in additional value.
As an example, I would not use this shop:
http://dallasfloralor.com/
I have never used this website or shop, but it looks very generic and suspiciously like a broker, not an actual shop.
Make sure they have a store front and that the person you are speaking to is in the same building as the person who is making the arrangement!
I also agree to go local. I call up a florist local to my mother, give her $35 and she makes the best arrangements.
DH almost gave up on florists, ever, when his attempt to send me roses to the office ended up with them being half dead and a day late. Was Pro Flowers or something.
