Anyone else missing SPRING??? We have had rain here horrible rain. Today it has been rain, snow blue skies, hail thunder and lighting. Some all at the same time. Cold as all h-e double ll. I know there is bad weather all over the country...snow on the first and flooding in places.
I need to read other stories of spring weather blues... If you have sun shine or even are just dry and at spring temp...share so we can live through you until we get caught up!!

I am with you all. For those who have the sun thank you for sharing your rays with us. My hubby came home and was like i think its the earthquakes. We have been shifted around. DO i blame earthquakes..no. but it is easier to explain it away that way.
Spring has been delayed the past several years. Comes later but the fall
is warmer at least here in NY. The seasons have definitely changed!
Stay strong it is coming. I am trying to convince myself. More snow showers tonight. I too am so done with winter. Want sun and warmth!!!!
still waiting in NY. no sign of spring. i remember this tim around last year we took the kids to RI and had a wonderful time, beautiful weather, in tshirts and all. this year? wow, if it continues like this we won't have much of summer either and then i shall be pissed. this winter was horrible enough as it is.

It's going to be 88 degrees over the weekend here. Pretty soon, we'll be at summer and have weeks and weeks of degrees above 100. I love spring, but it lasts about 2 seconds here!! I hope you get your spring soon, and it sticks around a while!!
Chicago's waiting not-so-patiently too! At some point, we will see the sun, I'm sure- but WHEN?!?!?
It's up and down here in Northern VA aswell , Monday was beautiful with blue skies and sun and pretty warm , people were out riding bikes and walking and the birds were singing, then Tuesday I woke up to black skies and rain falling out the sky like it was coming from a hose pipe , all day it was like that and it was windy & cold again , today it was sunny again!
Checking in from Massachusetts...this is payback for the most beautiful summer ever last year. I keep wanting to break my bike out for a ride but with temps still in the 30s? No thanks!
It has been cold here in Kansas it was in the 90's Sunday then a huge storm passed by now it has been in the 60-70's still nice & not as cold till the evening & overnite hrs.The kids have been outside which is nice & I have been too.Just unsure how to dress them for the day & we now take our jackets for the just incase it rains or turns cold.But for the rest of the week looking at a good rain chance but at least not freezing temps.
Just hoping it all clears up so for we can have some nice days before the air needs to be turned on open the windows let some sunshine in
Snowed in upstate NY again today, sigh. Sorry, I could use some cheering up too. :(
I'm sorry. I am lucky enough to live in Cleveland, TN where today's weather was super nice. I got a sunburn, and my 11 month DD had a blast throwing her ball for the dogs. I also got some great spring pics of her! (But we just got done with some nasty storms, including 3 tornado watches in my county...) Although... just so you feel better... I talked to my dad back home in the mountains of Idaho. Apperanlty, he still has enough snow on the ground that he can drive his snow plane OVER the fences. (We are talking about 4-6 feet deep...) With more snow on the way!!! :P
In Michigan it's just been mostly still 30s/40s, and rain, or clouds, or wind - yesterday there was brief snow squall that blew in! I was like, really? It's just been nothing but raw, wet, and chilly.
We spent the last 2 weeks of February in Florida, where it was 85 and sunny every day. I guess we got pretty spoiled. Then we all got back, got really sick and I'm still not 100% better, I guess the crummy weather was a shock to our systems.
"Spring loading...loading delayed, please wait...application failed. Try again later."
But right now the weather report is calling for 73 on Sunday - we may get there yet!

This spring is typical for where we live. I keep track of the day's weather on our calendar We have farm animals and most are due around this time of year, so we like to keep track from year to year when we should breed them. We live up high, so we usually get snow right on til May. Summer doesn't come until after the 4th of July!
The other night on the news, they were commenting how this spring is so wet....ummmmm, isn't every spring wet? We had a good chuckle at that.
Amazingly, my 6yo was playing outside last week and got a sunburn!!
It's snowing in Ashland, OR and I'm watching the snow collect on the grass outside. I just realized that the same thing happened last year when the plum trees were budding and didn't produce a single plum. I'm so heartbroken! I guess it's a good thing we don't all rely exclusively on home-grown food anymore, or this late spring would have us all worried about feeding our families! Just trying to see a positive....
We have spent the entire past week dealing with rising flood waters. Our entire property has running water on it with the exception of the small section around our house were we have 4 pumps trying to keep the water out from around the house. And then it snowed yesterday....and hailed and rained somemore. It is crazy.
In 7 months(from Sept until now) we have had almost had as much rain as we had the previous years Sep 2009-Sep 2010. We had a record 47 inches that year. Right now we are at 43. I didn't know that "greater everett area" has officially become a rain forest...LOL
Every time I see the sun, I get excited....and then it is gone and I want to cry. We just need a break. I am so ready for warm/dry weather. :-)
I just had to share my craziness.....
You know what they say about our weather, "Don't like it? Wait five minutes."
I was talking on the phone with a girlfriend who lives twenty minutes North of me. I had blue skies while she had rain. Five minutes later, the skies blackened and hail poured down while she basked in the sun.
Spring is near. I can SMELL it.
The timing of this is too funny. My husband has been bugging me for years about moving to California - mostly in jest, but he hates the cold. I have always said that I don't like that much heat and that our families are up here (lots and lots of family). We both grew up in Southern California, hence the "home-sickness." Anyway yesterday it wasn't raining so I made my kids go to the park. We literally got there and turned around and walked home - it was soooooo cold. I texted my husband and told him I was sick of the cold and wet, that we could move to California. Of course we can't, but I am in full agreement about the weather. Usually by now, we have had a few days close to 65. This year I don't even think we've been above 55 and there is nooo end in sight. This morning we woke up to snow. Where is global warming? I WANT SUMMER!!!! I sure hope it comes soon or Washington may have one less family in it.

I totally feel your pain! If the sun is shining her in Crescent City, then the wind is so strong and cold that you have to stay inside, if it clears up then the ground is too sopping wet to to any yard work. Its sunny all week then horrible ont eh weekend? Sound about right?
Just yesterday, my son was playing outside in the evening (its been alright, too cold for me but the kids like it) when the heavens opened up and a terrential down pour dumped on him before he could even take cover! Poor guy!
