I've had my Shark now quite a while have not had any problems and love it. I have 2 big dogs (golden/labs) and 2 teens so it gets quite a work out.

Overwhelmed by reviews on both the Haan and the Shark. Can anyone tell me which is better?

I just recently purchased a Haan. I've only used it once but i was happy with it. I got mine on Amazon. it was the best price i could find. i really liked the fact that it used only water and no chemicals to buy. i didn't leave any excess water on the floor like some reviews of other brands did.
I bought a $35 steam mop from Walmart.com and was very pleased with it. I've heard the Shark handles aren't very sturdy.
I have the Shark and I Love it!
Hi R.,
I've had a shark steam mop for less than a year, and I really like it. However, it just stopped working last week. I'm not sure what it's problem is, it still makes the bubbly noise like it is heating up but the steam is not coming out. I usually soak the pad first and put hot water in the resevoir, and so it still wets the floor, but I think I am completely missing out on the benefits of the steam, It really isn't even hot anymore by the time I am done with the floor. I don't seem to have much luck with Shark. I also have 2 of the Shark sweepers, both of which stopped working after about 6-9 months. I'd like to know if there is something better out there, too.
Good luck with your search!

I used the shark pocket one sold from kohls that a customer of mine had an it was awesome, came with alot of attachments also. This one was very simple to use an had a small cup that you used to fill the reservoir heated up in like 30 seconds, an was ready to go.
I've just replaced my bissel after 4 years of use. Works great, never had a problem--just abused it badly!
