So What Happened?

I'm not pAranoid when it comes to earthquakes but they do still freak me out. The one at 11:40 or so on Tuesday was crazy, I was in the kitchen and thought I was imagining things moving until I heard my DH yell "eq". Wednesday morning ( first I felt around 9-10) was kinda scary cause I was in the shower. I literally ran out to the living room to grab my son who was building his train track and had no clue of why his crazy mom ran out naked to the living room yelling his name and asking him if "he was okay". Two weeks ago there was also an earthquake around 3 or so am, did any of you feel that one? Do you ladies believe "The big one", is near or will it come when we are far away from this earth (meaning dead)?. Scary to think about because who knows what "the big one" will truly destroy and if infact it will occur like it's been predicted. Hope you all are safe and remember to keep lots of water, emergency kit, food, flashlights, and a family plan.

I felt them both (tues and weds) Kate from Cal Tech did say that anytime we had a 3/4 pointer there is a 1 in 20 chance it is a foreshock to something bigger. Since we had 2 in 10 hours I do not know if that changes the odds. She did say the little ones are a nice gentle reminder that we do live in EQ country and to make sure you have your kits and everything in order and make sure if you have furniture that can fall that you have it anchored, etc. When the first hit I first thought it was my AC kicking on cuz it makes the same sound. but then I remembered I had actually turned that off and it was probably an EQ. Oh well. then I thought I should check on my kids. They were fine. The dog was a little concerned. My kids did not feel the second either, they were playing. But we did decide to go over what to do in case with them. Guess we just have a nice week of shake and bake here.

Was it in the middle of the night?? Somewhere around 11pm-2am? Because if it was I totally felt it and jumped up in bed and yelled, earthquake, and my husband thought I was looney. It didn't shake much but I heard it lol. I actually forgot all about it until I saw this!

LOL! Its 12 hours later and I'm the first to respond to your question! Looks like everyone slept thru it but you. =)

I saw lots of posting on FB about it since I'm from So Cal and still have lots of friends there. Luckily it wasn't the Big One. =)

I felt the one last night for sure and ran into my daughters room just in case it continued or got stronger. You never know with the earthquakes here in southern California. My SIL lives in Yorba Linda were its centered and she's been feeling them all day. Luckily I slept through the one this morning.
