Hi C. -
My recommendation is a local downriver company.
Superior Windows- www.superiorwindowco.com
Can anyone recommend a good window company they have used. We just had Hanson out and they seem to be good windows but I don't know of anyone who has any so I can't say. Also if you had any bad experiences with a company I would like to know those as well, just so i no to stay away from them. Thanks and sorry this is not a mommy related question, again.

I agree with the Wallside recommendation. My husband just replaced 11 windows on his moms house and used Wallside.
They were always on time for appointments and extremely professional all of the way up to installation. The installation took just a couple of hours because they came with a crew of guys and each of them had a job to do. They also always went through the supervisor with them when they did anything.
His moms house was built in 1928, so there were safety issues in terms of lead paint and other things. They were very cautious and it was obvious that safety was a priority!
It was very impressive. We would definitely use them again.
I would recommend Wallside windows also. They do stand behind their product. They have a transferable warranty.
I have put wallside windows in both the two homes I have
owned.
Also if you are interested in Fiberglass windows Majic Windows seem to be a source for those.
Good luck on your decision...

I have only good things to say about Wallside. They are about to replace our garden window because of some problems but we've only had one other problem and both times they've come through quickly to replace the item. They were quick. We chose them because Hanson's wouldn't sell us windows without making us listen to their long presentation. When we refused, they said they couldn't help us. Wallside came in and didn't try to sell us anything. They just took our order, gave us a deal on the garden window, and got the windows for us quickly. They are a local company so you have access to them at any time.
Try Michigan Mobile Glass...ask for Jerry Johnson. Tell him you were sent by D. Chwalek. They have 5 or 6 offices around SE MI with one on Eureka Rd. They can do anything and have some great products.
Good luck!
