Hi Ladies! I am looking for opinions on your favorite brad of lipstick. I used to wear 12 hour Almay lipcolor, but it has since been disconinuted. I then went to Revlon 12 hour and I find this is wears off easy and doesn't really stay on that long. I am looking for a new brad to try. My criteria are that is has a multidude of colors, is is extended wear and it does not come off when you kiss the kiddos or when you are drinking your coffee :) I as too afraid to just buy another brand, try it ans not like it becasue that is a lot of money to waste when these lipsticks cost $10+. Aslo, I want to be able to purcase it at a major retailer, no mail orders. Any suggestions would be great.
I love Bobbi Brown! They have a huge selection of colors but well worth the money. If I want to spend a bit more I go with Chanel it is even better :)
As long as you have your receipt, you can bring back any make up item for whatever reason. This is true both at the drugstore and department store. I recently bought a Clinique lipstick that was so horrible. So I stuck it back in the box and returned it - no questions asked.
At CVS - they will take anything back. So don't feel like you have to suffer with a purchase you don't love.
I happen to like the Revlon - but I find the one with the two sides (one color/one gloss) work better than the all in one. The color will stay on all day.
I love anything MAC!!! I have not tried but they have a long wear lipcolour ($22) and a long wear lipcream ($17). Everything of theirs is amazing!!! I could gush on them for hours.... Please let me know if you try it and do not like it. The biggest issue would be going to the mall to get it.
HINT:
Any lipstick becomes extended wear, and doesn't kiss off, if you dust your lips with face powder or cornstarch. You get them totally covered (we're talking peach -if you're caucasian- or white -if you use cornstarch- lips) and then brush the extra off and lick your lips. You have to seriously *scrub* to get it off after that.

I love the ColorSational line by... I think it's Maybelline (maybeeee Revlon)... I like the Mauve Shine color. It's great! I do also like the Cover Girl lip stain in a similar color (it's a bit more bold)... but the Colorsational, any of the 'shine' one's, are great and I'm always finding coupons for them!
I wear Wet and Wild. Very reasonable, about .99cents to a dollar ninetynine so I am able to buy a lot of it. 519A is a red. I have many expensive lipsticks sitting waiting for me to throw out. I always go back to them. They are at Walgreens, sometimes WAlmart, Osco and I do not know what other locations are near you that have it. What a fun question~
I love both CoverGirl's Outlast lip color and Maybelline's new 24 hour lip color (doesn't last 24 hours, but does go most of the day). Both really do stay put for most of the day and aren't dry and flaky by the afternoon.
I agree with Jackie T. about the Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain. I've tried it before and it comes off very easily. I put it on and let it dry and then a little while later I licked my lips and it all came off.
My current fave is Cover Girl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor. It comes in several shades, lasts quite a while and is just under $10. I think the trick to getting it to last is to wait several minutes after you put the color on before you put the gloss on. I usually try to wait at least 5 minutes.
I hate lipstick with every fiber of my being. However, I LOVE Covergirl Lipstain. It lasts all day, and looks really great...but doesn't look like heavy lipstick.
I am an avid Clinique lover and use everything Clinique... I use their lipsticks and love them.
BUT, on a whim, I saw the Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer (about $5) and tried it.. I LOVE this stuff. I keep tubes of it everywhere just like my plain old chapstick that I keep on hand everywhere.
I like the moisture it give your lips, it feels great and the colors are not overdone. My favorite color is Raisin.
