Did Anyone Make Any New Years Resolutions This Year?

It seems every year I make resolutions to make more money, lose weight, and be an overall better person. This year I didn't make any resolutions, but instead I decided to live each day in the moment pushing forward to reach my goals on a daily basis rather than trying to eat the whole elephant at once. What did you decide to do this year

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well I have been working on taking things day by day, and so far that seems to be working the best. Everyday I ask myself, what can I do right now to achieve a certain goal?

I always make a few and never stick with them. Our biggest one last year was to pay off credit card debt, however we started this year with more than last year...lol. But in this 1st month we have payed off the 2 smallest ones. I have designed us a strict budget, which is working so far. We lost our neice in September of last year, so my biggest thing for this year is to treat everyday as a gift and really enjoy my son and life in the moment. Be more merry and happy and overall a better person. A more understanding mommy, a better wife, and considering everyday as a blessing. It has been a great way to start off out new year, and I am so excited to continue in our path to get out of debt and enjoy everyday with my healthy family :) So I like you am taking day by day this year, you can't wake up a new person but day by day you can reach your goal.

I don't do resolutions either. Each year I choose 5 things that I would like to work on within myself to make me a better person/mom/wife etc. I don't share these things with anyone--its just a personal pact with myself and God. I also choose a few goals that I can do to better someone else's life. If its not a realistic goal, I try not to set it because I will just forget about it a few months down the line if its not something I really feel passionate about.

my goal was to lose 20lbs by june. i've done good on watching my diet and exercising more but i still do splurge a couple times per week (defeating the purpose i guess) so i haven't lost any weight.

also i made a resolution to start a budget. so my goal for january is to write down every penny i spend. i figured i can't create a budget if i don't know where all of my money is going. then, february, create my budget :) i am doing really well on that one so far.

Yep, I made a few. I promised myself to take alot more pictures of my family, at least one everyday. Second, to drink alot more water, and overall just try and be healthier and try and make time to exercise.
