Since everyone was so helpful with the toaster problem I have another product question.
I need a new coffee pot and since I'm the only one drinks coffee in my house I want one of those single serving ones.
Can anyone recommend either the Keurig or Tassimo ?
good things about them bad things? Which is better?
They both have equally good reviews on websites so I'm asking you ladies for real experience with them .

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

thanks ladies ! I have senseo , they only carry 3 flavors of the senseo packets at our local stores, none of them the ones I like, the reason why I'm needing to replace my coffeemaker.

We have a Keurig mini, and have been very happy with it. You may want to check out the different kinds of coffee available for each to help with your decision. Keurig seems to have a lot more, but Tassimo has Starbucks, so it might depend on your coffee preference. My husband's biggest regret with the Keurig is that he can't buy Starbucks! You will love the convenience.

I do not drink coffee but my brother who lives in Holland has tried them all and said that Nespresso was the best he ever tasted and got rid of his Keurig and bought the fairly expensive Nespresso.

My mom owned both. She loves the keurig. She had the Tassimo first and then later bought the K.

LOVE MY KEURIG!! My aunt actually has the Tassimo and when she tried my Keurig she went out and bought one because she liked it better. Its great for things other than coffee too. Hot tea, hot chocolate, iced tea, iced coffee. If you are worried about choice Keurig makes a Kcup that allows you to use your own coffee grounds. I actually gave one to my firend that has a Keurig because she wanted to be able to choose her coffee and she uses it daily with what flavor she is in the mood for. You can just run water through to make soup or tea without using the prepacked ones. Very useful. I actually gave one as a gift to a college freshman for her dorm room.

I actually use Senseo. It is also a single serve. The coffee comes out with a little foam on top and is super yummy. The big advantage is that the pods are little filter packs that you can pop right into your compost--zero plastic, nothing to go into the landfill (except the bags they come in).

I've had both and prefer my Tassimo - I returned the Keurig. I found the k-cup and using your own coffee to be inconvenient and messy.

If you like lattes, cappuccinos, etc., I think Tassimo is the way to go. (Their milk pods contain actual milk – some machines use a non-dairy creamer type concoction for the fancy coffee drinks.)

As for iced drinks, Tassimo has come out with some iced coffees recently, and for iced tea I just brew a “hot” tea pod into a glass filled with ice.

I’ve had my Tassimo for six years and I still love it.
