Hello Mama's

I recently have been losing a lot of eyelashes and I don't know what is causing it. I don't wear mascara very often, maybe like two times a week. I do use a curler. What could be causing this? I have tried different mascaras as well. Also some of the lashes are extra short. So not too sure what to do? Any advice???
Thanks!

What can I do next?

They have eyelash conditioners that go on with a brush just like regular mascara. Mascara can dry your lashes and literally cause them to break off, even if you only wear it a couple times a week. Use the conditioner before the mascara.

Other than that, could be a diet issue. If you're not eating enough protein or drinking enough water, your hair, even your eyelashes, can be very negatively affected. Try supplementing with some protein shakes or bars for a few weeks and see if you notice a difference.

Sally Beauty Supply, Sephora, or Ulta can be big helps (depending on the person you end up getting) when it comes to situations like that too.

Replace your mascara and eye make-up. Even if you don't use it often, the longer you own the same bottle, makeup brushes, eye make-up, curler, etc., the more bacteria that can grow in it or on it. If your eyelash follicles are experiencing a slight bacterial irritation or infection, it could make your lashes fall out.

It may be expensive but Latisse is also an option. You can get it from a dermatologist after a consultation.

stop using the curler ... once I stopped using a curler and I also started using the L'oreal Double Extend with their lash boosting syrum and I have a lot less lash fall out ... plus make sure you are gentle with your make up removal on the lashes ... the best is letting your face run under the WARM water in the shower or a gentle eye make up remover.

The extra short lashes are new ones growing in. I would reduce the curler use for a while. The other moms had good advice so I'll leave it at that.
