M..
I didnt have one T.!! But now that you mention it, I really need to organize this house! Thanks a lot! : /
I'm already thinking New Year's Resolutions! Surely because everything is so far gone at this point - my diet, my focus at work, "quality" time with the kids, clean house, organized pictures and clothes and toys, the list goes on. Anyone already thinking about their resolutions? How do you prioritize all these should-dos??

I make resolutions/decisions as needed. I seldom know where I am on the calendar anyway. So I made a resolution several years ago not to burden myself with resolutions. Just do what needs doing, as each situation arises.
Resolutions, or any other tradition, should serve us, not enslave us. It's funny how we can allow ourselves to get hooked into "oughts" and "shoulds."
easy ... just don't put that kind of pressure on yourself ... chose one and figure out how that can work into your life and moved forward from there.
Aw gee, rush me why don't you?
LOL
I have NOT even thought of this yet.
Your "resolutions" are things I do daily, anyway. Constant toggling and trying to improve those things, daily.
Mommy-itis.
;)
I only just started thinking about these. In years past, I've always put together long lists and felt defeated early on. This last year, my first and highest priority has been to spend time with God. His word is true. I realize that everything else really does fall into place. My bills are getting paid off slowly and surely. My laundry is staying caught up. My house is just about always clean. I feel comfortable in my skin, even though I haven't lost weight.
More simply put. Because of God, I don't need to make any new years resolutions this year. I just need to thank him again and again.
We're already DREADING January where I go work-out. It'll be packed for about three weeks and we'll get weird/thoughtless remarks like "I bet you never eat" or "it must be nice to be to run that fast." YES I do eat and running fast didn't happen overnight. It takes TIME and DEDICATION.
I'm glad I discovered how AWESOME rowing is and I won't have to fight for a treadmill next month.
Resolutions are a joke. Most of the time they just set you up for disappointment if you're not REALLY commited to making a change.
I try to make only one that is realistic, one year it was to floss more. Another it was just to say I love you more. As women we expect so much of ourselves, it's ok to have areas we need to work on, but we don't have to change everything all at once. One thing at a time, its less overwhelming.
Would love to input prayer daily and not every other day or every two days. Make it count each day . Boy would love to remember to floss....love that one.
And hmmmmm I ditto the I LOVE YOU more. That is so important.
If I made one that I could stick with it would be to lose weight. I never succeed in this venture. Kind of sad really when its really up to me to follow through with eating right and working out. Maybe my resolution will be to do things and stick with it no matter what........ mmmmmmm
I focus on one or two not a bunch. My main priority for the next year is to really increase my savings and create a nest egg for my family etc. I will be trying to save money any way I can----
